NEED IT NOW price list

Hi all, I just saw on FB that Southernsavers has posted their famous "NEED IT NOW" price list, how much it is and where to go buy it. I have found the list quite helpful. Especially when you are building your stock pile and need things to make it through to the next sale. Go to Southern Savers on Facebook and check it out. I am doing my Publix run tomorrow afternoon. I will let you know how I do. Please post us on any questions or comments or great deals you come across too. Have a great day.

Retraction on the Bob Evans

Still go and get your bogo coupons, but these are actually $2.99 , so with the bogo coupon and the other coupons you should have, makes them .99. Not too bad for a quick side dish. Sorry about that, I just get so excited about coupons and freebies, I will wait from now on and check it out more closely. My apologies.

RG

Here's a good freeby for us....

Starting tomorrow, Publix has Bob Evans side dishes for bogo. If you haven't tried them, they are pretty darn good....and they freeze real well. If you go to Bobevans.com and sign up for their email, they will give you a coupon for a bogo on a Bob Evans side dish...and I was able to print 2 of them...so that would be 4 of them for FREE! Free food....whoopie!! Love you guys, RG

Walmart run today...

I was quite surprised really. There were a lot of pretty good deals. I got my free Brita Water Pitcher...it's the 5 cup one, they are $8.98 at Walmart, printed a $5 off coupon and there is a rebate for $10 on them as well on the Brita site. I got 2...while the getting was good, Billy got one and I got one, I figure we made about $6 on each one. I found the Calgon DW samples for $1.09 I think there are 4 in each bag and we have the $1.00 off coupon, which made them 9 cents! Got 4, found the BandAid sample packs were .99, we have a .50 off coupon, so those were .49, I think there are 10 in each one, got 4. They have the small Gain dish soaps for .99, we have the .50 off on those, making them .49...you just have to take your book, take the time and look around to see what you can see. I am thinking of making a section in my coupon book for any coupons that do not have a size limit or that don't say that we can't use on trial sizes. I think that would make things much easier because a lot of stores now have a trial size aisle. I did learn one thing, on our computer printed coupons, at Walmart, they will not take any computer generated coupons that say FREE or that don't have the watermark on them. Oh, I got free Crave cat snacks, too for my Grandcat for Christmas! ha. That's my day, how was yours? I think I was a pretty savvy money saver today! Have a good week. Let's us know if you all find some goodys for free or almost free. RG

Seneca Farms Oatmeal 2-packs

I just found this coupon on FB that you can print as many times as you want by pushing the back button. Go to Seneca Farms on FB, like it and it will give you an option for a coupon for .55 off. There are only 5,000 coupons, so go quickly. I imagine these will be available and on sale soon since they don't expire until 12/31/11. Also, Dianna found on the Poise website, a coupon for $2.00 off Poise, which is pretty awesome. Only two will print of those. Get them while their hot folks!

Have a great and savvy day!

Oops...retraction

Evidently Vicki and I both misunderstood....WD nor Publix take the Wags and CVS Register rewards! They only take the catalina manufacturers coupons, not rewards. Sorry guys, I knew that sounded too good to be true!

Saturday's Coupon 101 & 102 class

Good Monday Morning all. Vicki and I attended a coupon class by DivineDealDiva.com. Sharp young woman who has been couponning for 14 years! Check out her site, she is from Orlando area so is one of us Floridians. A lot of the stuff she went over, we already knew, but we did pick up some things. WD is coming out with a new coupon policy in October, we will tell you where to get a copy when it comes out. However..WD will still not honor competitors coupons, but they do honor Walgreens register rewards....whoo hoo, that's pretty awesome. On the WD create a meal deals where you buy the first thing and get 4 other things for free...there was confusion on whether we could use coupons on all 5 items...yes you can, however, something in their system won't accept it and it will require a manager override, so don't get nervous, it's procedure. Also WD accepts those catalina coupons from Walgreens & CVS that say "manufacturer" on them. Bogos at WD, I wouldn't waste my time if you have a bogo coupon on a bogo sale. They suggest that you get 4 items and you will be paying for 1 of those items.....no double bogo free stuff. I would save those for Publix. She suggests printing your web coupons as early on Sunday mornings as you can, including your Target coupons. She said they reach print limit on some of them pretty fast, you don't want to miss out. Target & Walmart do honor sales from other stores if it's a listed price sale...not a % off sale. Target requires you to do these at the customer service desk. She claims if we are not shopping Walmart, we are really missing some good deals. This young woman takes her notebook shopping with her every time. Her method is...alpha and she has a slotted pocket in the front of the notebook that when she pulls her coupons as she gets each item, they go right in there to be ready for check out. It seems to work very well for her, she saved $15,000 last year and she is almost at $10,000 for this year so far! She also claims that Kohls and Beals bucks will be honored at the stores for up to 30 days after they expire...that's pretty interesting to know, I've thrown away several of those expired! She also claims you can stack offers and %off deals at Kohls. I have done that on my daughter's back to college clothes, so I know first hand that it works there. Target constantly has web printable coupons on clothing....which I believe all their summer stuff is marked down to next to nothing right now, you can score some really good deals. Right now at Walmart you can pick up free band aids and trial size cascade for .9...We have coupons for $1 off cascade and the trial size is $1.09! Sign up on her site, Vicki and I both feel that it will be a wealth of information for us, she also does the coupon match ups for us each week. She also has all the store coupon policies available on her site, print them out and carry them in your notebook...that way if you happen to get one of those check out people who won't honor your coupon, you have the means to "show" them what their coupon policy actually says. I know this is lots of info, but I had to share it before I forgot.....okay, that's it for now, get out there and get some free stuff. Don't forget, anything you get for free and don't need...can be donated! Happy shopping folks! RG

Boneless Skinless Fresh not frozen Chicken Breasts $1.49 per pound

I just had an email from Zaycon Foods that they have dropped the price on the boneless, skinless chicken breasts to an unheard of $1.49 per pound! This is fresh, not frozen, meat in 40 pound boxes that you would need to separate and freeze after you get it. It will be delivered on Saturday, October 1 between 8A-9A at a place to be determined in Orange Park. I have it on good authority that this is really nice meat. I've ordered 40 pounds for us. If anyone wishes to order, go to the site below and sign up under me and place & pay for your order. If 40 pounds is too much, find a buddy to go in on it with you.

Tuesday 9/20/11

Where is the time going? I'm still working on coupons, getting ready for our weekly couponista meeting on Wednesday. Plan to do my Publix shop & WD shop (from last week's ad) tomorrow after the meeting. I know, it's the last day for Publix so it's chancey that I will find what I'm after. I'll have to look up and see when WD last ad day is, this may not work at all for Winn Dixie. I did see a few good deals in Wags and CVS, I MAY try to hit those as well. After all, what good is couponning if we don't make every trip count..mileage and gas-wise I mean. Those of you who are just starting out....take it slow and do what you can do...remember, the sale will come around again in about 6 weeks, so there are more opportunities. Work on your stockpile. Maybe at first try 1 or 2 deals at the drug stores, ones where you come out ahead of the game, like turning your rewards back on the 2nd deal. And don't let those register rewards or extra care bucks expire on you, it happens to me as well. Then it's kinda like the wonderful sale you got....really wasn't a sale. Okay, if I see anything earth shattering, I'll let you guys know. End of month coming up, you may want to take your coupon books into Target, check the end caps where they mark things down and see what you can get with your coupons. Only when you have tons of time. Have a good week, you savvy money savers..you! RG

Saturday September 17, 2011

I never did get to Publix last week, guess you could say I saved tons! ha. I will need to go before next Thursday, there were some bogo's I wanted to pick up. I hope you have all your coupons organized by now and your stockpiles being built. We will be getting 2 sets of coupons in each of our Sunday papers this week, a Red Plum and a Smart Source. Also be sure and check target.com for some printables you can use at Publix, if they consider Target a competitor. Southernsavers.com has their Walgreens and CVS coupon matchups ready to go. Looks like we might be getting some freebys this week. Remember, you can print your shopping list right off their site, pull your coupons and go shopping! Don't forget to check all the other coupon sites for more printables. Here's to a savvy money saving week!

Here is what Addicted to Savings had to say about the Zacon Chicken Breast for $1.69

Addicted to Saving Hi Rhonda! They actually provided me with 40 lbs to try out :) Their chicken breasts are ginormous and when we cook them, one breast is too much for me. If you want to read my product review (and see before and after pictures - the last picture is of a stuffed chicken breast), feel free to check out this post:http://www.addictedtosaving.com/2011/07/28/zaycon-foods-chicken-review/

If you are interested, go on the website I mentioned in the last post and register to look and buy. Let me know what you think.

Chicken Breast for $1.69 per pound...Yes!

Hey all, it's my understanding that Zaycon foods will be in Orange Park soon selling top quality chicken breasts in 40 pound boxes for $1.69 per pound! I know that sounds like a lot of chicken, but if you portion it out and freeze, it would be a great addition to your stockpile and would last for some time. If you want to sign up to see when and where, use this link : https://www.zayconfoods.com/refer/zf40854 Or, get someone to share a box with you.

Sorry to post again so soon, but I had to let you all know about this one. Too good to let it just lie there.

Learn coupon cycles...Rhonda Goff

If you have facebook, take a look at the video posted on the Southernsavers site on FB. It talks about sale cycles, how you should know that if for example, your cereal is on sale this week, at a rock bottom low price and you have coupons, buy enough for 6 weeks....the sale will come around again in 6 weeks! How do you know what you should consider as the rock bottom low price? Southernsavers FB site has a "Buy Price List" that you can print for yourself, showing the rock bottom prices on items after coupons. Once your stockpile is built, your pantry should NEVER tell you what to buy at the grocery store....this is a hard one for me too. But, in order for our savings to be major, big time savings, we need to only buy what's on sale that week. When you go to southernsavers.com...I use them since they are from the South and I figure they are seeing about the same coupons and prices that we do, she lists only the items that are at rock bottom low prices, so it's not the entire weekly ad, just the things we should buy at the right price. Lots of information, I know, but hang in there, I know we can all do this and have a well-stocked pantry and save a ton of money. New Publix ad tomorrow, but remember, the sale starts on Thursday. Go into southernsavers.com, look at her posting for the week, click the things you want to buy and it will create your shopping list for you. Then, just pull your coupons, tuck them into an envelope with your list and take off for Publix. Have a great Savvy Money Saving week! RG

Monday Morning 9/12/11-Building your stockpile

Hi, me Rhonda again. I wanted to touch on building your stockpile. It may seem like a daunting task at this point. Don't worry, it just takes time to get it going. It all depends on the coupons and the sales. The things I tend to stockpile (not hoard) are cereals, coffee, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soaps, laundry soaps and softeners, canned goods, pasta, cake mix, meats, boxed mixes like Betty Crocker potato mixes, mac & cheese, soups and broths, toothpaste, shampoos, bath soaps, toothbrushes and deodorant. It is suggested that when you find a good sales on your "stockpile" items, buy enough for at least 3 months. This takes a lot of coupons, find a buddy you can swap coupons with, that way, if your buddy doesn't use an item that is on sale, you can swap some coupons with them for something they need. I recommend always having at least 4 coupons for each item, at the least. More is better when you are stockpiling. After your stockpile is built, you SHOULD be able to go a couple of weeks just buying staples & the great sale items you find. You should be able to build your family meals around your stockpile. Okay, toilet paper and paper towels. The coupons for these items are very small as a rule. My way of building my stockpile for these items is to shop the drug stores, and using my ECB's or Register Rewards combined with coupons and sales, I am able to build up my paper goods stockpile. When I first started my stockpile, I would try to concentrate on a couple of items at a time....like laundry soaps or soups. We are coming into "soup weather", so we should see some really good bargains on soups coming up. Save your coups for these sales. Okay, that's it for now...decide what you want in your stockpile and work real hard on those items.

Sunday night.

It's me, Rhonda again. I found 2 more little deals you might want to try. Walgreens has Playtex gentle glide or sport Tampons 18PK for $3.99. Use your $2.00 off 1 playtex coupon and you will also receive $1 Register reward which makes them .99. Not bad.

CVS has a little freeby for us, St. Joseph's 81mg Aspirin for $2. Use your $1.00 off 1 coupon and you will get $1 ECB (Extra care bucks) making this one free. Limited to one of these deals.

I'm sure there are many more, these just stuck out as something I might do myself. If you would like to see all the coupon matchups AND the new CVS Coupon policy...yes, we now have one, they are posted on southernsavers.com. Have a Savvy Money Saving week! RG

Sunday 9/11/11

looks like we have a deal to do at Walgreens...buy 1 Gain powder Detergent $5 and 2 Gain Dishwashing liquids $1.79 each...$8.58 total. Use 1 $2.00 off 1 Tide or Gain Coupon and use 2 .50 off 1 Dishsoap. You will end up with $6 in Register Rewards and after that and your coupons, will end up at .42 cents to the good....free Gain detergent and Dish soap. How nice is that, put it in your stockpile. Still looking for some other deals for us. Have a great evening.

Rhonda Goff 9/9/11

Hi fellow couponners....Vicki has asked me to post on the site also, so here goes. I honestly did not find a ton of things I needed to "run right out" and get this week. I did create a shopping list on Southernsavers.com for Publix on Wednesday, after I received my new Publix ad. However...don't do this at home...went to do my shop and realized the new ad for Publix didn't start until Thursday. Gee whiz, I should have known that! Do check out southernsavers.com..they do coupon matchups for most of the stores, then allow you to create your shopping list. Then it's easy, just pull your coupons and go shop! My plan for Publix was to get the Barilla Pasta sauce which was bogo and we have coupons ...don't have them in front of me right now, but I think they ended up at .79 each. I checked out the Campbells Chunky soup deal...and found that we can do better on that, hold your Campbell soup coupons for another opportunity. Okay, if I run into anything else that I think you might be interested in, I'll post again. Happy shopping....RG
