Tuesday 11/13/12

Did some drop in shops today.  I used my first $5 Bonus Rewards at Walgreens.  They had some decent deals, however, our Wags was out of the Lindsey Olives for .99, which there is a printable coupon on the coupons.com site for $1/1 can of Lindsey Olives.  I bought the boxes of Cheese it crackers for .99...no coupon involved.  My best deal there was the Breathe Right Nasal Strips....in the Wags November booklet is a coupon for $2 off each box (which worked on the 10 count) and we have coupons for $1.50 off the 10 count boxes.....got 3 boxes for $4.49 per box.  Used my $5 bonus rewards...the cashier gives you the option to use them or save them, then you just have to approve it on the machine.  Pretty easy.

Dollar Tree....I love it there at Christmas Time.  I bought a few stocking stuffer type things, some kitchen Christmas rugs for $1 each....I've bought the nicer rugs in the past, after a wash I ended up throwing them away anyway, so $1 is fine for a couple of months.  Got some Christmas storage containers, Spic N Span spray, Palmolive bath soap, 3 bars for $1...we love that soap.  Got some Disney paint sets for some little people I know and some marshmallow suckers for their Christmas goodie bags!  Came out with 24 items for $24 plus tax.  Not bad.  Dollar Tree still has the Libby's canned fruits and veggies for .75 each and we just got new coupons again for $1/4 again.  It's my understanding that we may get them even cheaper at Dollar General starting on Sunday....keep an eye out.  Would love to buy 16 cans for less than .50 each, wouldn't you?

Big Lots next....no, they STILL don't take coupons, but they had 2 of the 3.5 ft lit trees for beside your front door for $40 for the 2.  They are prelit and flocked, they were really cute little trees.  Bought some Honey roasted peanuts for a boy I know who thinks you can't have Thanksgiving without them...Bob's Mill unbleached natural flour and natural Tapioca pudding beads and a new Christmas Gate Hanger.

Publix has our Truvia sweeteners for $3.99 (40 ct. box) and we have $2/1 coupons.  Can't remember where they are from, but my friend Dianna will want to take advantage of that too.

TGIF snacks were $1 each.  Bought all my ingred for my snack mix....not a cheap endeavor by any means, but I had coupons for most of the crackers and things...  Hidden Valley Ranch dry dressings were 3/$5, wish I'd had a coupon.  Here is my really great deal....I've been using the Nicorette Losenges to quit smoking, we have $10/1 package coupons and I used my $5/$55 WD coupon for those.  Hopefully, this should be my last package of those...I've been quit now for 51 days!  These should take me up through the end.  Thank God!  I've already saved around $300!  If  you need to know how I did, email me and I will hook you up with the program I used.

I don't imagine I will be doing much more shopping before Thanksgiving, as we are going to our daughter's in NC for the holiday.  My next shop will be in Shelby, NC!  I wish you all wonderful Thanksgiving memories and just take the time to be Thankful, we have much and others have so little.  I will also be thanking God for my coupon shopping endeavors too, sometimes He leads me right to a great deal!  Happy Thanksgiving to you all and God Bless you...

Friday 11/9/12

Did a quick Publix run on Friday to pick up on a few things they had on sale.  Haven't been too impressed with anyone's sales here lately.  This sale runs through Wednesday 11/14 if you want to do some of these deals yourselves.

Suave Body Lotions were bogo at $3.21 for 2, had coupons from RP 10/14 for $2/2 which made those .60 each.  Betty Crocker Potatoes were bogo at $1.99 for 2, had .50/2 which I printed on coupons.com, making those .75 each.  Halls Cough Drops were bogo $1.69 for 2, had coupons from SS 11/4 for $1/2 making those .35 each.  Kraft Stove Top stuffing was bogo at $1.69 for 2, printed coupons from coupons.com for $1/2 making those .34 each.  Campbells cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soups were bogo at $1.33/2, had coupons for $1/4 coupons.com or SS 11/4 for .35/4.  Those ended up at .58 each.  I use these in EVERYTHING so I stocked up with 16 of them.  Progresso broth was bogo at $2.59, searched high and low for coupons and found none, so those were $1.29 each without coupons.  Except for some things to make soup (fresh veggies), milk and bread, that was about it for last week.  Hopefully there will be better deals this week.  The coupons we got on Sunday 11/11 were much better than I've been seeing.

I've not been too impressed with Wags new system, Cvs has been better lately...although I've not shopped either unless I just had to have something.  This weeks ads look a little better to me.  Will let you know if I find any good deals for us.  Let me know if you find any as well.

Okay, seems to me we are rushing things a bit this year, more so than normal.  I saw my first Salvation Army Bell Ringer in front of Publix on Friday???  Really???  I thought those came out after Thanksgiving?  I've also seen on line where everyone seems to be posting their Black Friday deals early???  Really?  I find this a bit annoying.....can't we just enjoy Thanksgiving and being Thankful before we jump into Christmas???  Just a thought.

God Bless and take a moment to just be Thankful!    Rhonda Goff

Saturday 10/27/12

I did well earlier in the week, our church needed candy for our Fall Festival, so I shopped the Wags sales with my coupons and got a ton of candy and saved $27.  I also earned a ton of reward points, which I need to find out how to use them????  I haven't done that yet.

Yesterday, I shopped the Publix sales.  Here's a few of my better deals.  Bear in mind, getting ready for our Thanksgiving trip to North Carolina, and we always take a load of goodies to the kids when we go to stay.
Totinos Pizzas....my son in law loves them...were 4/$5...found coups on Coupons.com for $1/4, making those $1 each.  Totinos Pizza rolls were bogo at $4.29 for 2 bags, had coupons for .40/2, big whoop right?, coupon from 8/5 SS made those $1.95 per bag.  Caribou Ground Coffee was bogo at $9.99 for 2, had coupons from SS 9/16 for $2/1, making those $2.99 per bag.  Libbys Skinny fruits were $1ea, had coupons from RP 8/26 for $1/4, making those .75 each.  Bar S hotdogs were bogo at $1.49 for 2, had coupons for .75/2 making those .37 per package.....whoo hoo.  McCormick spices were NOT on sale, but had a coupon (coupons.com) for $1.75/2, so those were a better than normal deal.  Activia yogurts were 4pk for $2, had coupons from SS 9/16 for .75/1, making those $1.25 each.  Bounty paper towels and Charmin Bath Tissue were $10.99 for the big packages....don't normally buy them because the coupons are like .25/1...big deal...but there is a promotion going on through 10/31 where if you spend $30 on P & G products in 1 shopping trip, you can earn a free set of Pink cooking utensils.  The set last year was a baking set and was really nice.  The forms are behind the counter at customer service and their are a ton of different products that qualify.  I also bought the Aussie hair care and Herbal Essence hair care products were were on sale for 2/$5, had coupons $1/1from RP 10/7, making those $1.50 each.  Those will go into some of my Christmas gift bags.  Publix brand onion soup mix (which is just as good as Liptons) was only .99 each.  I bought some meat and vegetables & fruits also and the fixins for Chile for Fla/Ga game too.

I felt like the shop was a pretty good one...although I spent more than I have in a long time!!!  However, I saved $140.08, spent $201.64.

Also, don't forget about Dollar Trees, from what I've been reading, some folks are doing pretty well there with coupons.  Need to check them out every so often.  Have a great rest of the weekend.  God Bless....Rhonda Goff

Thursday 10/18/12

Well, I didn't really shop last week, just picked up a few things here and there....big mistake!  You know how that goes.  I did Publix today with the newest ad and did fairly well.

Bought Jingo's....boy are they good, of course almost anything Peppridge Farm puts their name on is good!  They were 2 boxes for $4, I had coupons for $1/1 making them $1 per box.  Tombstone Pizzas were bogo, did not have a coupon, bought them anyway for $3.15 each.  Eckrich Sausage was bogo, $2.99/2 and I printed coupons from coupons.com for 55/1 making those .94 each.  Fructise shampoo and conditioners were $2.99 each, had coups for $1/1 from RP 10/21, making those $1.99 each.  Playtex Tampons were bogo for $4.59 for 2, had $1/1 (printed from coupons.com), making those $1.29 each.  Bought Bridgeford frozen bread dough to make my cinny buns or should I say "sinny" buns, no coupon.  Fab laundry soap was bogo $3.99/2 and I had coupons for $1.50 off/3....bought 6 for $1.49 each.  Coupons were in the SS 9/30.  Finish DW soaps were bogo for the Gel caps and the Quantum, coupons from SS 10/14....50/1 of the gelcaps and .75/1 of the Quantums.  They ended up at 6.99 for 2, bought 4, 2 of each, for $2.87 each.  Angel Soft tissue was 2 4-roll packs of the double rolls for $5, we had .25/1, they cost me .56 per roll.  Glade Candles were 2/$5, printed coupons off coupons.com for $1/2, making those $2 each.  Lysol wipes were bogo and this included the ones with the scrubby stuff on one side for $4.89 for 2, had coups from SS 10/14 for .50 off 2 (Big Whoop, could they spare it?) making those $2.19 each.  Getting ready for cold & flu season, Coridican HBP products were $5.69 each, got coups from SS last weekend for $3/1, so only paid $2.69 for those. Bought a roast, deli lunch meat, cheese, flour and brown sugar, potatoes...all with no coupons.  I won't be buying laundry soap or dishwasher soap for a good long time!  I also used my $5/$55 WD coupon, so that helped.  Spent $139.27 for $233.86 in groceries.  I felt very successful.  I hope you'all do well too.  Maybe sales are picking up a bit for us.

That's it for me this week, God Bless and shop smart, I know you all do.  Rhonda Goff

Tuesday 10/2/12

My shop from Monday, 10/1 is as follows.  Not everything that I listed on the previous blog worked out....I forgot that it was October, so my September P & G coupons were gonners....oh well, I did okay anyway.

First stop, CVS, first off, when I ran my card through the machine, I got a ton of coupons and one for $3.50 off anything.    Deal 1 They had Soft soap body washes $3.50 each, we had coupons from this past Sunday for .50/1, making those $6.00, I had an ECB left from the other week for $4, making my oop $2, and got back $4 ECB.  I had to include a filler item to make the coupons come out right.  Deal 2, I needed a personal care item that was $12.79, used my $3.50 coupon and my $4 ECB from the previous deal used a filler item and spent $6.38.  Total spent was $9.27 for $24.75 in products.

Next stop was Walmart.  I bought the campbells good for cookin soups were $1 each, had coupons for .40/4 coupons from SS 9/16 making those .90 each.  Don't know about you, but I use those in everything and .90 isn't half bad for them.  They had Heinz Homestyle beans for $1 each, we had coupons for .50/2 from SS 9/23, making those .75 each.  Carnation canned milk (for our holiday baking) was .98 each, we had coups for .50/2 from RP 9/30 making those .73 each.  The Orange Crush and Sierra mist was supposed to be $1, I found that it was NOT.  I'll check back later on that.  Estracell Sponges were 2 in a package for .97, we have coups for .50/2 package making those .72 for 2 sponges.  Stayfree Pads....2 different types 14-24 count were $2.86, we have coups for $2/1 from SS 8/26 making those .86 each.  Cover Girl powder puffs/sponge puffs were $2.94, we have coups for $3/2 from P & G  Oct, making those $1.44 each.  Dove mens body wash was $3.47, we have coupons for $2/1 from RP 9/30 (I think) making those $1.47.  Total before coupons was $84.46, after coupons was $57.26, not too bad.  Was able to get some things for Food Pantry.

Publix next.....Uncle Bens 5 pound bags of rice was bogo at $7.79 for 10 pounds!  I printed a coupon from coupons.com for $1/3 Uncle Bens Products, so I bought 6 bags of rice 30 pounds for $21.37 and was able to use my $5/30 WD coupon when all was said and done, so the rice cost me about .55 per pound.  2 bags for us, 2 bags for Ashley and 2 bags for Food Pantry.  The other thing I went for was the Swanson Flavor Boosts, Publix had them 2/$3 (each package holds 4 of them), there was a Coupon in the Yellow flyer for $2 off 4 of the items and we have coupons for .50 off each....bottom line is they costs us .50 for 4 in the package and they had several different flavors.  Bought a couple of other things I needed, but only spent $31.61 for $73.90 in food.

I felt the day went pretty well.  I still haven't been over to Wags to sign up for my new card or to shop, they just really haven't had anything on sale to temp me!  Maybe next week.  Okay, have a great week, the Publix rice deal I think ends tomorrow and the Swanson stuff goes through 10/12 I think.  Check it out.

God Bless...............Rhonda Goff

Sunday 9/30/12

Hi all, I haven't shopped much this passed week, however payday is looming large ahead!  I just ran across a goody you might want to stockpile for Fall/Winter or donate to your food pantry.

In the Publix Yellow Flyer that ends on 10/12, Publix has the Swanson Flavor Boosts 2 for $3.00.  There is also a Publix coupon for $2 off 4 participating products, Swanson Boosts is one of them in the same flyer.  We also have a coupon or .50/1 which will make those .50 each for us.  They are great for making soups or sauces.  I plan to buy 8 of them.

There were also several candy sales at Wags, CVS, Walmart and we have a ton of coupons.  I think the best price I saw over all was at Walmart.  I know our church collects candy for our Fall Festival, sure would be nice to get a deal on it!

The only thing I will go to Wags for is the Dawn Dish washing liquid for .99, we have the coupon for .75/1 in our August P & G.

CVS has Soft Soap Body washes for $3.50 each, if you buy 2 and use the .50/1 coupon we got today you will get a $4 ECB to use on something else.  I think I actually have a $4 left from the other week.  So....I will buy 2 at $7.00, minus my (2) .50/1 coupons, makes them $6, then I will use my ECB for $4, making them $2 OOP and get back $4 ECB.  I like the sound of that.  Then perhaps I can used the $4 ECB with some coupons for candy.  I like that plan.

Walmart has several things..Sierra Mist or Crush are $1 for the big bottles.  We just got a coupon in the Moments flyer for $1/2 making those .50 each if you buy 2.  Carnation milk is .98 and we just got coupons for .50/2 making those .73 each....great for our holiday baking.

I will let you all know if I find any other nifty deals.  Have a great week and God Bless.  Rhonda Goff

Thursday 9/20

Ran in to Winn Dixie today only to get Rotel tomatoes...they were 10/10 and we had coups from SS 9/16 for .40/2 so those cost me .80 per can.  I like to have them on hand for Chile Weather.....soon, please God. Bought some cheese that was on sale, and a couple of Organic items that were marked down.  Didn't do much there.  Spent $25.58 for $36.18 in goods.  Also earned .05 off my next gas fill up.

Publix was next, I did 2 deals there.  The first one was mainly meats...Spent $51.25 for $68.29 in meat...used one of my $5 off $30 Winn Dixie Coupons.  2nd deal.....we are having the kids/grand kids over on Sunday after church...so...the first deal included a ham for Sunday.  Deal 2 is mostly the fixens...I did get a couple of good deals though.  Pict Sweet Frozen Vegetables were bogo at $3.89 for 2, no coupons, but not a bad deal at $1.94 each.  Alexia onion rings and sweet potato fries and reg fries were bogo at $3.79 for 2, we had coupons for .55/1 SS 9/16 making those $1.34 each.  They are really good.  Barilla Pasta Sauces were bogo at $2.89 for 2, or 1.45 each, no current coupons.  Skintimate ladies shave creams were 2/$4, we had coupons for .55/1 from SS 8/12 making those $1.45 each.  They had some really nice Organic peaches & nectartines, bananas and fresh green beans, so I did buy quite a few fruits & Veggies.  The only down side to our weekly Organic Fruit & Veggie co-op, the amounts of things really doesn't allow for company, so I had to pick up some things.  I used another of my WD $5 off $30 on this deal, so saved $10 in all with the two deals plus my coupons.  Not a great day, but if I save a little, it's better than when I used to pay full price for everything!  It's hard to find great deals on meat or organic fruits and vegetables, but I figure it's less trips to the doctor when you eat better food.....so we win anyway!

Have a great weekend all, let me know if you find some great deals.  God Bless.....Rhonda Goff

Tuesday 9/18/12

Walgreens Balance Reward Program.  This is from DivineDealDiva...

Walgreens New Balance Rewards Program
Walgreens is introducing a new Rewards program this week (Beginning 9/16). Each time you shop Walgreens you will earn Balance Rewards (points). They are similar to CVS and Rite-Aids loyalty reward programs with the exception that Walgreens wants to reward you for living a happy, healthy and well balanced life and will award you Balance Rewards.

You may have noticed in your weekly sales ad the new program. Instead of Register Rewards that you would normally earn on items, you will earn points.  (Walgreens will begin phasing out the majority of Register Rewards earned in the past by end of 2012)

You can sign up for the New Balance Rewards Card HERE. If you do not want to carry around another loyalty card, you can choose to just use your phone number just like at CVS.

You can earn thousand of points on many of the items you buy now. Earn points every time you shop or fill a prescription at Walgreens. If you are an online Walgreens shopper, you can earn the Balance Reward Points just as if you were shopping in store. Don’t forget that you can also get immunizations from your Walgreen’s Pharmacist (in select locations) and earn more points.

Can I Use Coupons?
Yes you can even use coupons just like we do today on your purchases. With the new Balance Rewards program you will even earn points in the same transaction when you buy multiple items. Unlike the Register Rewards you could not. For example: Buy 1 pack of toilet paper and earn 500 points, Buy 2 packs of the same toilet paper and earn 1,000 points.

Do my points ever expire?
Your Balance Reward points will expire 36 months from the day you earn them. If you are not an active shopper at Walgreens within 6 months of earning the points they may expire sooner.

Redeeming Points:
You can redeem your points instantly once you have 5,000 points you can redeem INSTANTLYfor a $5.00 Reward (as if using a $5.00 Register Reward). No cash will be given in place of rewards; they are converted to redemption dollars.
This chart will help with the breakdown:

What if I need to return an Item that earned Balance Reward Points?
If you have to return an item that earned points, they will be deducted from your points account.

Rain Checks:
Walgreens will still give Rain checks, but the Point Promotions will not apply to rain check purchases that are purchases AFTER the promotion has ended. This is the same policy as before with Register Rewards.

Some Exclusions May Apply:
Balance Reward Points will not be earned on and Redemption points can’t be used on alcohol, dairy, lottery tickets, money orders, phone cards, stamps, tobacco lottery tickets.

Points Expiration:
Be patient when checking out over the next (2) two weeks, because it will take a few extra minutes to get everyone signed up for the program.  YOU can sign up today online

Monday 9/17/12

Pretty good shops today, nothing major, but still all in all, good.

First stop was Dollar Tree.  I bought single roll Bounty Basic paper towels were, of course, $1 per roll, I had coups for .25 off each, got those for .75 per roll, bought 5.  Those coupons are in your P & G for September.  Libbys canned vegetable were .79 per can, I had coupons for $1 off 4 cans (Redplum 8/26, making those .54 per can.  I looked at a couple of other things, but the sizes weren't right.  I did buy (without coupons) Dial soaps were 3/$1, so bought 12 bars even without coupons.  Our coupons for those expired on 9/9 I think.  I had 20 items and my  total was $15.84.  Not too bad.

Next stop, CVS. Deal 1 CVS had the deal going that if you spent $20 on Nexxus products, you would get $10 back in ECBs.  My Nexxus comb through hair spray was $12.79 each.  I bought 2 and also had (2) $3/1 coupons that I printed from one of the coupon sites.  Bought 2 of the Hershey's candies $3 each with a $1/2 coupon and made $2 ECB on that.  So, spent $24.58 for all and got back $12 ECBs.  Deal 2 I bought a pkg of Breathrite Nasal strips for $12.99 (no coupon)  and 2 of the Colgate 360 Clean toothbrushes which were $2.99 each, had  two coupons for $1/1, got back $2 ECB for each one, that was a break even deal.  I had to get 1 filler item to make my coupon count come out right.   I used my $12 ECBs  and the 2 $1/1 coupons, making that total $6.97!  and got back $4 ECB's to use for next time I go.  Total Savings was $28.97 divided by total value of $60.52 48% savings!  I call that a win.

3rd stop, Publix.  They still had the Truvia sweeteners on sale for $2.99 for the 40ct. package and thank you Redplum this past weekend for the $2 off 1 coupons, I bought 4 for .99 each!  Wish I had more coupons for those.  I think I've only bought Truvia once since the Food Lion's closed, I had really stocked up on those during that time.

Okay, that's my story and I'm stickin to it!  God Bless.....Rhonda Goff

Monday 9/10/12

Well, I have not seen much in the sale flyers.  I HAD to go to Target for a wedding gift, while I was there, I notice they had Tyson Chicken Strips (Cheddar/Jalapeno and Cheddar/Bacon) on mark down at $3.99 per bag.  I looked  for coupons, found a .75/1 for the Nuggets...wonder if that would work?  Might be worth a try.

Stopped at Wags for one thing only.......They had Wet & Wild nail polishes for $1.49, this past weekend, we got coupons from SS for $1/1 making those .49 each.  They had some real fun colors.  Those will go into my stash for Christmas gift bags.

Other than that, I was not impressed with either Wags, CVS or Target.  Wags is coming out with a new deal for us next week.  Watch and see.  I think it will involve a card, but I don't really know how it will all play out.  I sure hope they don't restrict us like CVS by only letting us do 1 deal!  I may have to take my business elsewhere if that is the case.

When the food ads come out, we'll see what those do for us.  Til then, God Bless....Rhonda Goff

Friday 9/7/12

I finally went out to shop yesterday....I really had to hunt for deals!  Not much out there for sure.  My first stop was Walmart.  I needed some things from there that are not traditionally on sale, but I have found Walmart every day low prices to be less than most of the stores.  Anyway, when you go to Walmart, there are several different aisles in the store where they have a row of mark-downs.  No rhyme or reason to them, you just have to look.  A friend had told me that canning jars were marked down so I went hunting.  I found them in the mark down aisle and had coupons to boot for $1/1case, bought 2 cases.  I bought them for $6.27 each after my coupons, they came with the lids.  I also bought some Kozy Shack sugar free pudding cups, they were not on sale but I had a coupon for $1/2 making those $1.98 each.  That was about it for Walmart.

Next Stop, CVS.  Don't forget when you are at CVS to stop by the cashier, use your card to sign up for next year's double your ECB's.  I think it starts in January.  My main purpose was to find new skin care items called Nuance.  Luckily, they were buy one get one for 50% off.  I spent $40.91 for 2 types of cleansers, one day/night cream and 1 oil Elixir.  Without the sale, I would have spent $54.56.  Geez, skin care is really expensive, but.....what do you do as you get older?  Bought another Colgate Optic White which was $2.99, had a coupon for .75/1 from SS 8/12 and got back $1ECB.  I also opted to buy the Earth Essence Paper towels for $3.99 for the 8 pack, no coupon.

On to Walgreens I stopped there for the Reynolds Wrap for $1.59 for the 30 yd boxes, I had $1/1 coupons, so I bought 4 for .59 each.  SS 8/19.  Then, Quilted Northern Ultra Plush bath tissue was $3.49 for the 9 roll pack, bought 2 and used my $1/1 coupons making those .28 per roll which is not too bad for decent tissue.  The Northern coupons I printed.

Publix...not a lot happening there this week.  They had New England brand coffee bogo at $7.69, I had written to the company and they sent me coupons for .50/1, so those ended up costing me $3.34 each.  The Maruchan Yakisoba Japanese Noodles were bogo at .99 had coups for .50/1 from SS 8/26, so I made .02 on those.  Lou Ann Canola oil was bogo at $4.15 for 2, no coupon, but I think there may be a printable one available.  The darn Magnum Ice Cream bars were bogo at $3.99 for 2, thank goodness my coupons expired on 8/26....but still a good deal at $3.99...NO I did not buy more!  Pedigree Dentastix for my girls (dogs) were bogo at $3.59, I printed coupons from coupons.com for those, $1/1, so I got those for .79 per package.  That is about all I found there....not a great sale week.  However, we do still have to eat, right?

Maybe next week will be better.  Take care and if you find some great deals, let us know!  God Bless....Rhonda Goff

Monday 8/27/12

Okay, fellow couponers.....our coupon group went to the Dollar Tree at Cedar Hills on Blanding, it's one of the larger Dollar Tree Stores.  We were pretty successful there, found many items that qualified for coupons by sizes etc.  Here's what I bought, now the other girls I was with also found Colgate Toothpastes in a large enough size to use their coupons, and several others as well.  I bought 2 Bic White Outs, had a coupon for $1/2, making those .50 each.  Softsoap refills, we had coupons for .50/1, making those .50 each and Post Shredded Wheat cereal was of course $1 each, we had coupons for $1/1 making those free!  I had 6 boxes of shredded wheat, 6 Softsoap refills and 2 Bic white outs and spent $4.56.  The manager of that store did tell us they are really sticking to the size restrictions or any other restrictions.  They will only let you use 2 computer generated mfg coupons, but they allowed us to use more than 2 of the other coupons.  So it will probably vary by store, but this particular store had lots of things that we have gotten coupons for in the past.

On to CVS next....I did 3 deals total.  1st Deal, I bought 2 of the Gillette 10ct razors, were $10.79 each, with a bogo coupon from RP 8/5 and then a $3 off coupon from P & G 8/26  and then used my $4/$20  ECB coupon.  I had to buy one filler item for $1.  I paid $4.79 and got back a $5 ECB...so actually made $$ on that deal.  Deal 2 was 2 Venus Disposables were $7.99 each, had a bogo coupon RP 8/5 and a $3/1 mfg coupon from P & G 8/26 and used my ECB from the previous deal for a total of $1.12 and got a small  filler item.  Deal 3 thank goodness for Dianna finding this one,  Gevalia Coffee bags were on sale for $5.99 each, I had printed (2)  Gevalia bogo coupons (off the site I believe),bought 4 of those,  then I bought 2 of the Dawn Hand Care dish soaps were on sale for .99, had coupons for .75/1 P&G 8/26 making those .24 each!  Used my $5 coupon from the previous deal.  All in all, I spent $13.37 at CVS for  $82.18 in products!  84% savings, I haven't done that well in a while.  And I don't have any extra ECB's to worry about, as I turned them back to the next deal.

For the entire shopping day, I spent $17.93 and got 6 boxes of Post Shredded Wheat, 2 Bic White outs, 6 Softsoap Refills, 20 Gillette mens razors, 8 Gillette Simply Venus Razors, 4 bags of Gevalia Coffee, 2 Dawn dish soaps....I love a day like this!

Okay, get out there and check out your neighborhood Dollar Tree to see what deals you can scare up and CVS seems to be doing better lately with their deals.  I have not shopped Walgreens yet this week, and I may not, I will let you know if I do.

God Bless and get out there a Be a Savvy Shopper!                    Rhonda Goff

Thursday 8/23/12

Hi all, I did a little recon today at Dollar Tree on Normandy.  They told me their taking coupons will begin this Sunday.  I walked the store to see what types of things we might would get coupons for.....I wrote down around 50 name brand things.  You might want to check out a store close to you and see what you can see, it's my understanding they don't all carry the same things and things can change because of the way they  buy.  Anyway, I saw boxes of Shredded Wheat that I had a $1 off coupon that would have been FREE.  I'm sure there were more items as well.

Okay, while I was out, I stopped at Publix to pick up a few sale items I noticed in the paper.  The Colgate toothpaste...Opti White...was 2/$6, we had a Publix coupon for $1 off 1 and we had a MFG coup for .75 off one SS 8/12, making those  only $1.25 each.  Bought 9 softsoap liquid hand soaps were 10/$10, only had 9 coups for .35/1 making those .65 each.  Lysol wipes were bogo at $4.89 for 2, had coupons for $1/1 making those $1.44 each, Ken's Marinades were bogo at $2.99 for 2, we had coups for $1/1 from SS 8/12 making those .49 each.  Bought several aluminum throw away pans, they were bogo.  I haul a lot of food around so I use a lot of those.  I bought Milkbones had a coupon for $1.50/2 and bought 2 Nestles chocolate chips, had a Target coupon for $1 off 2 and a Publix coupon for .75 off 2, making those $2.27 each.  I had enough to use one of my WD $5/$30 coupons.  I spent $34.99 for $99.41 in groceries.  Not a bad day.....have a great rest of the week and get some deals.

God Bless......Rhonda Goff

Monday 8/20/12

Had a great shopping day today....did Wags, Winn Dixie and CVS.

At Walgreens I  did a total of  5 separate deals.  I did a deal, then if there was anyone in line behind me, I explained what I was doing to the cashier (I didn't want her to think I was trying to shoplift), I let the other folks in front of me, then I would do my next deal, on and on for 5 total deals.  I got almost every deal I went for and the cashier was very patient.  She even commended me for the way I did my coupon shopping.  I feel that it is very important not to keep other folks waiting, it seems to make the cashiers nervous which can lead to mistakes being made, not always in our favor.  Soo.....Deal 1Bought the Glade Expressions starter kit, was $2.99, had a coupon for $3/1 which I printed off coupons.com.  Also received a $1 RR for buying it.  So really, it cost me nothing, I made $1 for buying it.  Bought 2 Oral B Floss Picks were 2/$6.  had  (2) coupons for .75/1 from P & G 7/29 and got a $4 RR, so basically those cost me .50.  Bought 2 of the Chex snack mix for $3, couldn't find a coupon and got a $1 RR, so those were $1 each.  At the end I went into the next deal with $6 in RR.  Deal 2...Bought 1 Gillette Mach 3 Razor for $8.99, had a coupon for $3/1 from RP 8/19, got back a $4 RR, so it cost me $1.99.  I bought 2 Crest 3 D toothpastes were 2/$6, had (2) .75/1 coupons from P&G 7/29, bought 2 Nice Baking Sodas for $1.18 (store coupon) needed 2 Dentine gums to make my coupon/item count come out right and used my $6 RR and went into deal #3 with $8 in RR.  Deal 3 bought another Glade Expressions for $2.99, coupon for $3 off, got back a $1 RR, bought 2 more of the Oral B floss picks for $6, (2) .75/1 coupons and $4 RR, 2 Nice Black Peppers (store coupon) for and 1 Kraft Velveeta Cheese for $2.99.  I used my $8 RR from deal 2 and went into deal 4 with $5 RR.  Deal 4 I did another Gillette Mach 3 Razor and used my coupon and RR from deal 3 and went into deal 5 with $4 in RR.  Deal 5, bought Poise Pads on sale for $10.99 (they are normally around $14), used my $4 RR on those.  I ended up with no extra RR to worry about and got $88.38 in goods for $26.39, not too shabby.  69% savings!  I am stockpiling again for my Christmas gift bags.

Winn Dixie, I won't go into the details as this is the last day of the sale, except for the special 3 day sale they are running.  They had Chuck Roasts again bogo, bought 2 more and boneless skinless chicken breast bogo, bought 2.  Nestle Skinny cow candies were 2 boxes for $7, we had coupons for $1/2, I did not find any of the single bars.  I got WD sliced Ham in the Deli and for buying that I got 1 pound of free WD Provolone cheese and gas perks galore. I bought 6 Planters Pnut butters for $2.49, had coups for $1/1 and got .5 in fuel perks for each one I bought.   I spent $130.06 and saved $83.08 all told.  I ended up with  70 cents per gallon off my next fill up..... .70 in fuel Perks which should get me in the under $3 per gallon range.....whoopie!

CVS...I did well there too.  Revlon Nail polishes were $4.99 each, I had coupons for $1/1 from SS 7/22 or SS 8/5 and got back $3 ECB (Extra Care bucks) for each one, the limit was 6.  So....I spent $23.94, got back $18 in ECB!  Did a 2nd deal of 2 Right Guard Deodorants at $2.99 each had coups for $1/1 received $1 ECB for each of the two.  Bought CVS brand brush picks for $2.49, bought 2 Loreal Makeup removers at $6.99 each, used my $18 ECB and paid $2.45 over that.  All in all, I got $60.39 in goods for $26.39.  56% savings and I am getting ready for Christmas!  Oh, and I am going forward with a $2 ECB, I hate when I have those left over, I usually forget about them!  Guess I can tape it on my car windshield so I won't forget???  Probably not one of my better ideas, huh?

That's probably about going to do it for me this week.  Have a great one and I will say the drug stores are really starting to have some deals worth going out for the past couple weeks.  God Bless....Rhonda Goff

Thursday 8/16/12

Results from shopping trip yesterday.

First off, at Publix I did get the Chefboyardee canned pastas for .50 each, however, the meat ones were not not included in the sale.  They were 4/$3 and with the Publix coupon for $1/4, they came out to .50 each.  I bought 12 for the pantry.

I did pretty well at CVS.  I did the Venus Embrace razor deal.  Bought one for $9.99, had a $4/1 coupon and received $4 Extra Bucks, making it $1.99.  (I did not receive a CVS coupon when I entered the store and ran my card through the machine).  The other deal was if you bought $30 in selected products, you receive $10 ECB.  I bought 4 Whisk laundry soaps at $4.99 each, had coupons for $2/1 from RP 8/12 making those $2.99 and I bought 4 Speed Stick Deodorants for $2.99 each, had coupons for $1/1 making those $1.99 each.  Spent $25.91 for $62.11 in merchandise and got back $14 in extra care bucks.  Deal #2, I needed Aleve which was on sale for $8.99 each, bought 2 had coupons $1/1, making those $7.99 each, bought 4 Good and Natural bars.....free coupons from last week and needed some coffee filters for $1.99, since I had too many coupons vs. items, I admit it, I bought 2 musketeers bars....I know, my bad.  They were all out of the Barilla microwave pasta meals which would have been $1 each with my coupons.  I spent $5.41 for $29.43 in merchandise.  (I used my $14 ECB from the previous deal).

Target was pretty much a bust for the Dove deal!  I went to 2 Target stores, the one on Argyle and the one on Wells Road...both stores were out of the 12 oz. Dove shampoo and conditioners.  If they WOULD have had them, the price would have been $3.09, not $2.99 as we were told.  Against my better judgement, I bought 2 Dove Mens body washes and 2 Women's Dove body washes, each was $4.49, I had coupons for $1/1 from Redplum 7/29.  I spent $13.96 and got back a $5 gift card.  I turned around and bought a bottle of Loreal liquid make up for $12.81, had a $2/1 coupon for that and used my $5 gift card from the previous deal and spent $5.81 for my makeup.  That was pretty good.

Anyway, not a day to brag about, but I did manage to save some money and get some things to help out with the pantry and start my Christmas bag stockpile.  So there you have it.

Have a great rest of the week.  God Bless.....Rhonda Goff

Tuesday 8/14/12

Hey, all, I haven't been shopping yet this week, so I'm gonna tell you what I will be looking to do on Wednesday.

Publix has Chef Boyardee canned meals 4 for $3, and there is a Publix coupon from SS I think, for $1 off 4, making those .50 each.  Most of these will go to the food pantry at church.

CVS has Venus Embrace Razors for $9.99, use your $4/1 coupon in this week's Redplum and then receive a $4 extra bucks reward, making them $1.99 and if  you hit the EB machine on the way in, there is supposed to be a CVS coupon for $2 off 1, making them +.01.  Buy $30 of listed items and receive a $10 ECB, my plan is to buy 4 Whisk Laundry soaps at 4.99 each and 4 Speed Stick Deodorants at $2.99 each.  Use the $2/1 coupon for Whisk from RP 8/12 and the Speed Sticks $1/1, total of $31.92, minus the coupons will be $19.92, then with your $10 ECB, will be $9.92 or $1.24 per item.....Then I will turn around and use my $14.00 ECBs on deal 2, which will be (2) Aleves for $8.99 each, coupon for $1/1, and Barilla microwave meals are 2/$4, coupons are $1/1 making those just $1 each (for food pantry), and 4 Good & natural bars are FREE, we got coupons this passed Sunday.

TARGET has a deal on Dove Buy 4 Dove Shampoo/conditioners at $2.99 each, Red Plum from 7/29 has a ton of Dove Coupons, I plan to use (2) $3/2 making those $5.96, and I'll get a $5 Target Gift Card back, making those 4 for .96!  I will turn around and buy another one of those, maybe two with the previous gift cards.  Another deal to do is Buy 2 shampoo/Conditioners for $5.98, minus the $3/2 coupon, making that $2.98, buy 1 Caress body Wash for $3.29, using the .75/1, making that $2.54, and buy 1 Dove Mens Care body wash for $4.49, using the $1/1 making that $3.49 Total $13.76, minus coupons makes it $9.01, use a $5 gift card from previous deals, makes it $4.01 and get another $5 gift card back!

I will let you all know tomorrow afternoon whether these deals work for me.  I hope so.

God Bless and Be Savvy out there!  Rhonda Goff

Monday 8/6/12

I did pretty  well at the Kohl's Tax Free 20% off all sale on Sunday after church.  Got my husband and myself several pairs of underwear, socks and t-shirts for him and found 2 pairs of really cute really discounted shoes.....saved 27.5% overall, and came out with $30 in Kohls Cash.  Not a bad day at all.

Today, I did the Target/Roseart crayone/marker/pencil deal.  Here's how it went down.  In the very back of the Target on Argyle, the Roseart crayons were .20 per box, I bought 2 of those, the Roseart colored markers were .49 per box, bought 2 of those and the Roseart colored pencils were .49 per box, bought 2 of those.  Total for all was $2.36.  The coupons were $1/3, used 2 of those, so I ended up at .36 for the 6 items!  FYI....Chick Fil A is also collecting school supplies for kids, so I went by there and dropped those in the bin they have up front.

Stopped into Walgreens and they had several different types of Bic Razors, bygo at 50% off....so....I bought 2 of the 10 pack Bic Twin Selects for $3.99 and $1.99 and used (2) of the $3/1 coupons which came out to making .02, then I bought 2 packages (4 razors per package) of the Bic comfort shavers, same deal bogo 50% off, they were $4.49 and $2.24, used (2) more of the $3/1 coupons, making those .73 for the 2 packages.  You may also want to do the deal at Walmart, they are supposed to be $2.96 for the Bic sensitive comfort 3 silk touch razors, which would make you .04 per package.  I have not checked that one out for myself yet, but plan to later this week. (These Bic coupons were in the Smartsource 8/5)

Read something online that I wanted to check out.  Evidently, Home Depot is going to stop carrying the Husky brand garbage bags.  I heard that they were $2.43 per box of 50 for the Fall variety that are normally $29.95.  At our Home Depot in Argyle, they are indeed marking the bags down, they are in the front of the store in big stacks and have been marked down somewhat, but the gentleman we spoke with said we should keep watch, if they don't sell them out, they will be marked down even more.  So keep your eyes peeled at your own Home Depot store for a really great savings.  As you all know, it's tough to get a good deal on our paper type products.  As it was, we bought 212- 13 gallon Husky kitchen bags (not draw string, but long tie ends on them) for $10.  That's like .05 per bag, I thought that was pretty darn good.  I am watching for the larger black bags to go on sale for a much lower price.  Let us know if you see them.

That's it for me today....keep us posted if you find any more great sales out there.

God Bless and happy shopping......Rhonda Goff

Friday 8/3/12

Reminder....the Tax Free weekend started today and goes through Sunday....that's probably why it was a ZOO today at Walmart.  Also, Kohls sent out a card for us to use also that is called a Yes Pass, if you spend $100 (which is easy to do) you will receive and extra 20% off or you can take an extra 15% off everything....added to your tax free, you could save yourselves quit a tidy little sum!  Also, they are offering $10 Kohls cash for every $50  you spend!  Gee, if you spent $100, it would actually cost you $80, then you get $20 Kohls cash back for spending the $100, sounds like $100 for $60 to me, tax free!

Couple of things at Walmart that you might want to take advantage of .....The Glade Expressions starter kits are $2.98, we have a coupon for $2/1 these were in the Smart Source from 7/15...making those .98, the refills for them are $1.98 and you can use the same coupons on those making 2 cents on each one you buy....AND there is a rebate form from Glade where they rebate your first one!  I bought 4 starter kits ($11.92) and 5 refills ($9.90) which came to $21.82, I used 9 $2/1 mfg coupons, which brought it down to $3.82, and they are rebating me $2.98, so .84 for all 9 Glade items!  Can't beat that with a stick!  The other thing was Dulcolax 8 count boxes were $1.98, we had coupons for $1/1SS 5/13, making those .98 each.  Bic Cristal pens, 10 packs were .97, we had $1/2 coupons from SS 7/29, so  those were .47 per package.  Starkist light tuna pouches are $1.12, we had coupons for .55/1 from our SS 7/15 making those .57 each!
Thanks to Miss Vicki for pointing these deals out!  She always has been the Couponista Queen for sure!

Two things I went to Publix for.....Barilla Pastas were bogo at $1.49 for 2, we had coupons from SS 6/24 for .55 off 2, making those .47 each.  Wishbone dressings were bogo at $2.89 for 2, we had coupons for .40 off 2, making those $1.24 each....that wasn't a great deal was it?  But I needed some, so only bought 4.

Anyway, best deals I found today were at Walmart.....sorry Publix, but they beat you today.  Okay, get out there and get those deals!

God Bless and have a great Tax Free weekend!....Rhonda Goff

Tuesday, July 31, 2012

It's official.....the year is over 1/2 way.......wow, this year is going fast for sure.  Let's quit rushing and enjoy where we are RIGHT NOW!  Easy for me to say, right?

I wanted to remind you all that starting on Friday,  8/3-Sunday, 8/5 is tax free weekend.  This is your opportunity to shop for clothing, shoes and school supplies TAX FREE!  I say every  penny  counts, use your coupons and take full advantage this weekend.  I always go underwear/sock shopping for my husband and myself on this weekend, I replace all of ours...(and I am so glad we didn't get hit by any buses...if you know what I mean???)

Yesterday, I did a couple of small deals at Wags and CVS.  Wags I got ICAPS for $17.49, minus a coupon for $2.50 off AND at $5 register reward!  My husband has to take those for his eyes and they only cost me $9.99 when all was said and done.  Normal price is around $20!  The Dawn Dish soap is on sale at Wags & CVS for .99 each, the small bottles...(I don't care, if I get enough of the small ones cheap enough, who cares how big they are???).  Anyway, I ended up paying .49 each for 4 of those.  The coupon was in last weekends P&G insert...and through today, 7/31 the previous month's P & G is still usable.  Okay, bought that stuff, received a $5 RR, turned around and bought school supplies with that.

CVS had some great deals.  Dummy me, did not have all my coupons with me, so....Head & Shoulders Shampoo was $4.99, we had bogo coupons from the July P & G, then we had $1 off coupons from last weekends P & G.  They would not let me use two $1 coupons with the bogo one, I  tried, but no go.  Anyway, I got 2 of those for $3.99.  Cascade DW gel packs were $4.99, I had a $2/1 that I must have gotten in some special box or something, then we had gotten $1/1 in our P & G for July.  I paid $3.49 each for those.  I also bought some more Dawn Dish soap.  I bought 6 more, with coupons for .25/1, but when I swiped my card at CVS when I got there, I received a coupon for $1/5 Dawns...so, I paid about .57 each.  The CVS coupon helped a lot on that deal!  Don't forget to swipe the machine when you go in!  It's my understanding that through today you can do a deal with Olay items where they come out free.  I have not tried it myself, but if you look online....DivineDealDiva...will tell  you how to do it!

Have a great week.  Check out the deals at Walmart on your school supplies, Target too.  I only go to Target for Freebies........God Bless and happy couponning!   Rhonda Goff

Tuesday 7/24/12

I did a quick Wags run today....had a plan.....that did not work out all the way.  I shopped 2 different Walgreens stores, hoping to at least get a couple of the Venus Olay Razor deals and some of the Stay Free Maxi Pads for FREE.....those were way gone!  Anyway, the first store....had nothing I went in for....this IS just Tuesday, right?  I did come across in their "mark down" aisle, set of 2 Collapsible storage cubes marked down to $2.99.  I had a $1 RR, so I got the 2 storage cubes for around $1 each.

On to the next Wags....online I had seen where at one ladies store, they had marked down the Garnier humidity hair sprays to $1.59 and we had coupons for $1/1...however, this was not the case in my 2 Wags stores.  I am still looking for the Olay Body Butter or Ribbons BW  that were supposed to be marked down to $2.49, I have not found those yet either.  The Stay Free was long gone in this store as well.  I did find one of the Venus & Olay shaving systems for $8.99, we had coupons for $4/1, and then got a RR for $4.  I found 1.  So, I turned my $4 RR around and bought $4 worth of school supplies for our church.  I got 16 #2 pencils for $1.58, 2 pairs of blunt cut kids scissors for .99 each.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Garnier humidity hair sprays, that would be a great deal to get them for .59 each...nice gift bag items.  Also the Olay Body Butter or Ribbons body washes.  If any of you see either of these items marked down, holler.  I will keep looking too.

Not much for today, but gee, after the shop I had last week.....I really didn't expect to have another experience like that again so soon!

Have a great week and God Bless......Rhonda Goff

Friday 7/20/12

Woot woot woot...for the first time ever, Publix paid me to shop!  Here's the blow by blow, I shopped 2 different Publix stores.

#1 Publix on Brannen Field.  Bought 6 Hamburger Helpers bogo,  no coupons, 4 for the Food Pantry at .97 each, bought 6 Chef Boyardee pastas bogo no coupons for .75 each.  Ball Park HB buns, 2/$4, Sara Lee Butter Bread 2/$4, John Frieda Root Awakening shampoo & conditioners, 2 of each, used Publix coupon in the Green flyer for $2/1 and a mfg coupon for $2/1, making those $1.49 each (normal price is $5.79 each), Publix onion soup mix $1.15 no coup, Palmolive Dish soap was bogo, had coups for .25 off each one, making those $1.49 each, the real big aroma ones, 5 Bayer low dose aspirins were $2.63 each, we had coupons for $3 off 1,  I think they were in the SS 6/24, I made .37 each on those, total of $1.85 in the plus column towards my other groceries.  Smart Balance Spray butter was bogo at $1.79 each, no coup.  Huge bag of Publix Pinto Beans were $5.69 no coup, I bought 7 Cover Girl eye shadows that were $2.99 each, had Publix coupon from the green flyer for $1/1 and a mfg coupon for $3/2, making those .49 each....great for my Christmas gift bags!  bought bananas, bought 2 of the Organic Valley 1/2 gal of milk, they were on sale 2/$7, had a coupon for $1.50/2, making those $2.75 each, they are usually much higher than that.  All in all, I spent $48.55 for $125.89 in goods...saving a whopping $77.34.  I also used one of my $5/$30 WD coupons.

#2 Publix at Normandy Crossing.  I mainly stopped in here to burn off the rest of my  Bayer Aspirin coupons and my Cover Girl Coupons.  I bought 10 Bayer Aspirins at $2.63 each, had mfg coupons for $3/1 so I made .37 each times 10 or $3.70 in my plus column!  I bought 1 Cover Girl Eye Shadow at $2.99, with the Publix coupon from the green flyer, and my mfg coupon, that came to .49.  I bought 1 CG beauty tool for $2.99, after coupons it was .49, bought 2 CG aloe emery board sets for $2.19 each, after the Publix coup for $1/1 and the mfg coupon for $3/2, those were free and I made .62 on the 2.  I bought 4 CG Salon Shaper nail kits for $2.19 each, I made .62 on each of those.  Bought Orville Redenbacher Pop corn that was bogo for $5.19 and 2 Milky Way candy bars $1.59 each, had a coupon for $1 off 2, or $1.09 each, had over $50 in goods, so I used one of my $5/$55 WD coupons.  When all was said and done, PUBLIX OWED ME .64!  HA HA.  I finally did it!  When the cashier finished with me, she called the manager over....she said I don't know what to do, it says we owe her .64?  The manager said pay the lady her .64!  And they did.

I love having a day when you find everything you go after and make money to boot!  What could be better.  All told I ended up with $187.08 in goods for $48.55!  Not a bad day....let's see, I think that comes out to 74% Savings!  My best EVER!  I am totally stoked over this, get out there and get some of these deals.  My husband and I both, on the advice of our doctors, take 1 low dose  aspirin per day, that's 60 aspirins per month, which can get a little pricey.  Now, I've got enough for 3 months at least for FREE!  You gotta love that.

Have a great weekend and God Bless!  Rhonda Goff

Thursday 7/19/12

Hi all, I've been  looking over the Publix ad, not seeing lots....again.  I was planning to shop today, but the weather turned ugly before I could get gone, I'll try again tomorrow.  Here are some of the things I intend to try tomorrow.  Remember now, I haven't done these yet and I may have to go to several stores to get them done if at all.

Hamburger Helpers are bogo at .96 each, I can find no coupons anywhere, but at that price I will get some for the Church Food Pantry.  Same goes for the Chef Boyardee canned pastas...bogo at .74 each.  Palmolive Dish Soap is bogo at $1.74 each, I printed a couple of coupons from their site for .50/1.  The others we received from SS on 6/24 are expired...of course they are.  Organic Valley Milk is $3.50 per 1/2 gal., on the Organic Valley site there are coups for $1.50/2.  John Frieda Root Awakening Shampoo is $5.49, there is a Publix coup in the Green advantage flyer for $2/1 and a mfg coup for $2/1, making those $1.49 each.  Bayer Aspirins are reportedly $2.49-$2.99, 20 - 36 count.  We have a coupon from the SS on 6/24 for $3 off 1....making those free or if they are $2.49, we will make .51 per bottle on those.  Cover Girl Aloe Emory Boards, 10ct are $2.19, (need to also look at shadow for $2.99 and clippers for $2.39).  There is a Publix coupon in the Green Advantage flyer for $1 off 1 Covergirl item, and we got P & G coupons on 7/1 for $1/1 or $3/2 Covergirl items.  There is also a $10/$50 gas card coupon in the Publix flyer.  And don't forget for those of you who bought the Jacksonville coupon books, divide your groceries into 1-$50 group and use 1-$5/$30 WD coupon (we're using $50 to cover our gas card) and then do another deal of $30 and use another WD $5/$30.  When we get our Sunday paper this week, look for a $2 off Schick Quattro for Women coupon.  Those will still be on bogo at Publix on Sunday-Wednesday for $3.49 each, with the $2/1 coupon, they will only cost us $1.49 each.  Okay, that's my plans..but they can change once you get into the store, right?

I hope you all have a great rest of the week.  God Bless....Rhonda Goff

Saturday 7/14/12

I didn’t buy a ton today, but did just okay.  Shell gasoline stop first…..I had .45 per gallon off my gas….thank you Winn Dixie!.  2nd stop, Publix.  Needed milk and eggs of course, and found we needed to replace our night lights.  We have no street lights, so if you get up in the middle of the night here, it is pitch black.  I bought 2 of the Springer Mountain Farms whole chickens (no antibiotics and fed only vegetables) and used 2 of my $1.50 off coupons.  Morning Star Farms veggie foods were bogo at $4.39 for 2.  I bought 4, different kinds of veggie burgers, we had the black bean ones for lunch.  In Red Plum on 6/24 we got .75/1 coupons.  There are 4 burgers in each package, they came out to $1.44 per package, or .36 per burger.  The black bean ones were pretty good!  Super Pretzels were bogo (the soft pretzels in the freezer case), I bet I have a ton of those coupons, of course mine were all expired, but not a bad deal for 6 big pretzels at $1.59 per package, or .27 per pretzel!  Main reason I went today was for the 8 O’clock coffee which was bogo.  I only had enough coupons to buy 6, normally I would have bought a lot more, but they came out to $2.66 per bag, which is not bad for coffee.  Land o Frost Premium lunch meats were $3.49 per pound after coupons from  RP 6/24.  Smithfield bacon was 3 for $10, only bought 2 of those.  Had no coupons for those.  Milk bone dog biscuits….the great big huge boxes of them….they were bogo at $6.99 for 2, had coupons for $1.50/2 from RP 6/24.  Those came out at $2.75 each.  They had some really nice asparagus, Kale  and the Ranier Cherries were bogo.  Then I also bought some school supplies for my daughter for college.  The 4 packs of Sharpie markers were bogo at $1.54 per package of 4.  Bic mechanical pencils….10 in a pack, were $1 per pack.  Crayola crayons were .33 for the 24 pack…those will go into the church pantry/supply closet.  Bought the Pilot gel writers for bogo at $2.99 or $1.50 for 2 pens!  Those are for me.  Found a huge box of oatmeal by Mornflake that was in the mark down basket for $2.25, normally $5.  At any rate, I spent $132.58 and saved $94.47!  I also used one of my $5 off $30 Winn Dixie coupons.

Next stop, Winn Dixie.  I didn’t have a lot of coupons for WD, but I went mainly to buy the bogo chuck roasts.  I bought 4 to put in the freezer.  This is the WD on Normandy, I will say their meat is not as nice as the Argyle WD.  Bought Frosty Paws for the girls (dogs) I figured they could enjoy a cool treat too.  Edys fruit juice bars were $3.50 per package.  Bought some basil, grits, pretzels, baked beans etc. etc.  I spent $70.91 and saved $32.61.  Not a horrible day, but not one of my best.

Do check out those Morning Star Farms veggie burgers at Publix and the bogo chuck roasts at WD.

Hopefully, there will be better savings next week!  God Bless and have a great rest of the weekend.

Monday 7/9/12

Hi all, I did a quick Wags,Winn Dixie and CVS run this morning.  Having company shrunk our paper products supply, so I was in dire need of TP and Paper Towels.  Fortunately, there were some half way decent deals on them!  First stop...Wags.  They had Charmin Ultra 6 roll packs for $3.99, we had .25/1, those came to .62 per roll, not great but we needed it.  Cottonell 12 roll pack was $5., there was a $1/1 coupon in the July Wags booklet and we had a mfg for .50/1, so those came out to .29 per roll.  Viva paper towels were 6 roll pkg. for $5.99, there was a Wags coupon in the booklet for $1/1 and we had mfg for .25/1, so those came out to .79 per roll.  Zest 3pack of soaps were $1.99, we just got coupons for .50 off 1, making those .50 per bar.  Not too bad.  12 inch Red Barron Pizzas were $2.99 each, no  coupons, but not a bad price none the less.  Spent $32.40 and saved $20.10 for The Pizza's, 12 bars of soap, 24 rolls of TP and 12 rolls of Viva paper towels.  I didn't think that was too awfully bad.

Next stop, Winn Dixie.  They had 9 rolls of Angel soft TP for $3.99, we had a coupon for .25/1 making those .42 per roll.  They had Sparkle paper towels 6 roll pack for $3.99 per package, making those .66 per roll.  Land o Lakes stick margarine was bogo  at $1.15 per package, all of my coups were expired for those, but I needed them.  Out of Osteo Biflex, those were $20.99, Kraft shredded cheese was bogo, I needed brown sugar and chocolate chips for my brownies on Thursday night for WM meeting.  After coupons and my $5 of $50 coupon, I spent $52.71 and saved $29.18.

Next stop, CVS.  My main goal at CVS was that they had my Purex Crystals Fabric softener on bogo!  I printed coupons from the Purex FB page and also from coupons.com for $1/1.  I bought 4 at $2.85 each, they are normally anywhere from $6-$7.69 each no matter where I look for them.  This was a great deal for me.  I have tried the downey crystals and the others out there and the smell doesn't last very long in your clothes.  The Purex in my sheets especially, I can smell for several days.  It's really a nice fragrance.  My husband's Old Spice Deodorant was 2/$5, had coupons for $2 off 2, and when I ran my card through the EB machine, I got a CVS coupon for $2 off any deodorant purchase of $6 or more.  I bought 4 of the old spice and they ended up at $1 each.   CVS kitchen garbage bags were bogo, they have the draw string and they have a nice clean smell to them.  I spent $25.21 and saved $30.49.

Not a bad day I don't think.  There were actually some decent sales this week, check southernsavers.com and see what she thought were good deals.  At least I don't have to worry about TP or paper towels for a while!

Have a great week and I'll see ya when I see ya!  God Bless.....Rhonda Goff

Monday 7/2/12

I just had a couple of things to bring to your attention.

 Walgreens Deal
Buy (2) Olay Creme Ribbons or Body Butter Body Wash $2.49 (Reg. $4.99)
$3/2 Olay Bath Bars, Body Wash or In-Shower Body Lotion, exp. 7/31/12 (P&G 07/01/12)
TOTAL = $.99 each  I have not checked this out, but I plan to.  These make great gift bag stuffers.
There is also a $10 rebate form on Wildforwags.com if you spend $30, you get a $10 rebate!

Secondly, just wanted to alert you to "Tax Free Shopping" is coming up on August 3, 4 and 5th.  Clothing, shoes and school supplies!  Once a year, I go and buy my husband and myself all new underwear and socks during tax free days.  Start gathering coupons for places like Target, Bealls and Kohls, famous footwear that will not expire before the tax free dates.  You could score some great deals, my daughter was in town last year, and with our coupons and the tax free status, we were able to outfit her for the coming year for college and saved a bundle.  Office Max usually has some great deals during this time as well.   If you need computer paper and ink cartridges, great time to stock up.

I did a Publix run today also, but I have not put it together yet.  I'll post when I do.

God Bless, have a great week.   Rhonda Goff

Wednesday June 27, 2012

I did a quick run out to Walgreens and Publix yesterday.....we won't discuss the Publix run, I was out of everything and most of it was non-couponable items!  I did okay at Walgreens I think, as follows:

My Nexus Comb Through Hair Spray was buy one get one at 50% off, I never ever find coupons for this item, but for my hair and this humid weather it works for me, so I buy a couple whenever they are on sale.  They are $12.99 each, but with the sale, I got them for $9.74 each.  The new Dial Nutri Skin lotions, 21 ounces with Walgreens coupon in flyer, were $3.99 each, normally $6.49 each and we also had MFG coupons for $1 off each one.  I got those for $2.99 each, nice big bottles.  Seems to be pretty good stuff so far.  Schick Quattro Titanium disposable razors were buy one at $9.99, get one for 50% off.  And we had MFG coupons for them, I can't remember how much???  Geez.  I have also tried Covergirl Mascara and Maybelline Mascara because they were cheaper and lots of sales and coupons.  However, I've gone back to my old standby favorite Loreal Mascara.  It was on sale for buy one get one for 50% off!  In the June Walgreens book is a coupon for $1 off 1 and we have MFG coups for $1 off one, so I bought 2 for $3.75 each, they are normally $7.99 each.  All told I spent $46.92 for $74.92 in products.  Not too bad considering that if I had bought these things (and I would have) without sales and coupons, well, you know how that goes.

I am hoping to get back on track now that the kids have gone back home to North Carolina.  I have another deal done up for CVS, not sure that I will make it there this week, still bailing out of the overflow of water we've had this week.

Keep dry and God Bless.....Rhonda Goff

Argyle Publix Boycott 6/19/12

Fellow Couponers....once again I am boycotting the Publix on Argyle at Oak Leaf! I've had to walk out of there before leaving a basket full of groceries because they didn't do me right on my coupons. I should have walked out today, but my daughter was with me and would have been embarrassed. They refused a Winn Dixie Coupon in conjunction with a Publix coupon. I have used these together many times at other Publix stores and many times I've used a Publix coupon in conjunction with a Target coupon there as well. I truly WILL NOT be using this store again, and if you are a heavy couponer, I would recommend using the Publix on Brannen Field Road instead. They are much better to deal with.

Sorry I haven't been posting, was out of town and now have company for a couple of weeks.  I'll get back at it.  Nothing today worth posting about at Argyle Publix.

Wednesday 6/6/12

Hi all, I've been looking at the Publix ad that starts tomorrow......geesh, not much there for us.  Couple things I did see, though, were the Freschetta Pizza's are bogo and there are coups in the SS 3/4 and SS 4/22 which would make them $2.27 each...not too bad.  Monterey Raviolli is bogo and there are coups in RP 4/29 which would make them .99 each.  Maybelline crease proof eye shadows are $2.99, there is a Publix coup for $1.50 off in the green advantage flyer and a mfg coup in RP 4/15 for $1 off, making those .49 each.

Looks like WD is running the same sales as last week, as near as I can tell.  The meat sales were pretty darn good.

I checked Walmart.....didn't see much there either.

I am getting company on Thursday, which will force me to buy things to feed them, I love the company coming to stay, but I hate being forced to buy things because of it that aren't on sale.

Let me know if you all find some really great deals that I've missed.

God Bless......Rhonda Goff

Friday 6/1/12 Shopped at Winn Dixie & Publix

First off, there was an awesome meat sale at WD....I ended up buying quite a bit of meat, which is why my bill is so high...as we know, there are NO coupons for meat!  However, WD had several bogos that I took advantage of in the meat department.   Round Steak was bogo, I ended up buying 4 packages for a total of about 10 pounds of round steak...why so much?  I ground it and mixed it with Sanderson Farms Chicken breast which was also bogo, I bought 2 equaling 4 pounds, ground it to mix with my ground round.  It makes nice lean burgers and also good for anything else you use burger for.  I love lean ground beef.  They also had Sanderson Farms thinly sliced chicken breast bogo, which I bought for Chicken Parmigiana.  I also bought 2 London Broils that were bogo, cut those in half to use for 4 X shish kaboobs.  I bought $115.55 in meat alone (that's what it would have cost me last week without the bogo sale).  Today,  it cost me $57.77!  Not too bad.   Even if I flubbed up the rest of the shop, that was worth it in itself.  I bought the Chef Boyardee that were $1 each, had a coup for $1 off 4, making those .75 each.  Bought cat food, elephant garlic, kraft singles were $2.50 each, when you bought 2 you got a .5 fuel perk, bought 2 cake mixes...smooth talker, Betty Crocker, if you bought 2, you got a .5 fuel perk, all in all, I spent $111.25 for $176.58 in goods!  I also received .55 per gallon off my next fill up!  Not a stellar shop, but I sure loved stocking up my freezer with all that meat!

On to Publix...Not a great week at Publix either, but sometimes you have to just grit your teeth and cowgirl up, bite the proverbial bullet and go for it!  Digiorno grated cheese was bogo again, we love it, no coup but bogo.  Welches Chillers Juice drinks were bogo, had coupons for .55 off 2 (RP 5/6) made those .97 each.  Milk bone dog snacks were bogo at $3.19, had $1.50 off 2 (RP 5/13), making those .84 each.  KC Masterpiece Marinade...there was a Publix coupon in the yellow advantage flyer for FREE Kc Masterpiece Barbque sauce when you buy a marinade.  Also had coupons for $1 off 2, used 4 of those, got 4 marinades and 4 Barbque sauces for .99 each.  I love stuff that's under $1, don't you?  They had Filippo Berio Olive Oil for $3.99, had a coup (printed off coupons.com) for $1 off, made it $2.99 which is pretty darn cheap for olive oil!  Bought 4 Organic Valley 1/2 gallons of milk, had coups for $1.50 off 2, I won't tell you what those cost.  Organic milk is pricey, but it does not spoil nearly as fast as regular milk.  Check the dates on the regular milk and on the organic milk.  I hardly ever throw milk away any more and it is sooooo much better for you!  Here was a good little deal...in the green advantage flyer, there was a Publix coupon for $3 off 2 Aquafresh Extreme Clean toothpaste, there were mfg coups for $1 off each one(RP 5/6), making those .59 each.  I'll  buy toothpaste all day for .59!  Again not a stellar performance, spent $107.67 for $182.63 in groceries.  Not too awful bad.

Anyway, hopefully we'll see some better sales again soon!

God Bless......Rhonda Goff

Deal Alert

Couponers....I just ordered my 5 books for $25 that have in them 4 Winn Dixie coupons for $5 off a $30 order...so for $25, I will be getting $100 totally off my Publix and Winn Dixie orders! You might want to check this one out.

Wednesday May 30, 2012

Hi fellow couponers, my apologies for not blogging last week, my husband was in the hospital, and then home for the entire week, which really throws a monkey wrench in my week it seems.  Then we had Beryl to contend with, the holiday......tough week for me.  The only thing I did do last week, I took advantage of the WD bogo baby back ribs.....they were really nice ones.  Other than that, didn't see too much of interest.

Same with the Publix ad this week, not much of interest this week either for me.  I May end up doing my shopping at Walmart, since their everyday prices are generally lower that the other stores.  We'll see, if I find anything noteworthy, I'll let you'all know, and if you find something I've missed, you let me know.  God Bless and have a great rest of the week.   Rhonda Goff

Saturday 5/19/12

I broke my own rule today by shopping on a Saturday!  I just plain ran out of week this week!  I only shopped at Publix this week, I never made it to Winn Dixie.  I only saved about 38% today, not a stellar performance by any means, but I did make some good buys.

Aunt Jemima Frozen Waffles & French Toast were bogo at $2.79, had mfg coups SS 5/6 for $1 off 2, making those .89 per package.  Land O lakes fresh buttery taste spread was bogo at $2.55, coups SS 3/18 for .40 off 1, making those .87 each.  Del Monte canned veggies were bogo at $1.39, I had mfg RP 5/13 coups for $1 off 5, making those .49 per can and Del Monte tomatoes were bogo at $1.59, same coups applied, they were .59 each.  Pedigree Dentasticks were bogo at $3.59, coups RP 4/29 for $1 off 2, those came in at $1.29 each.  Truvia was $3.99, had a Publix coup for $1off 1 yellow flyer and a mfg for .75/1 printable making those 2.24 each.  Ballpark hot dogs were $3 each, coupon for .75 off 2, RP 5/6  made those $2.62 each.  Pepsi 2 liters were buy 2 get 1 free, had coups from Pepsico Moments booklet  from 4/29 for .55 off 1, making shoe .71 each.  Secret deodorant was $2.89 had coups for $1 off 1 P&G 4/29 making those $1.89 each.  Seattles Best Coffee was $5.99, had coups for $1.50 off 1 SS 4/22 making those $4.49 per bag.  Not great but I am running really low on coffee.  My favorite deal of the day was Ace Self Adhering Elastic Bandages were $4.49each, Publix had a coupon in the Green flyer for $5 off 2 of them, then I went on line (Southersavers.com) and printed coupons for $2 off 1..making those FREE.  I used a total of 45 coupons today!  I had to buy milk, bread, eggs, meat, cooking wine, biscuits for a recipe, sugar for a recipe and several other things that I had no coupons for.  I spent $185.38 for $298.02 in groceries.  I probably should have sat this week out, but I just was out of so many staple items.  Unless there is some earth shattering deals next week, I probably won't shop.  I hope you did better than I did, but like I've said before....if I wasn't couponning....The $112.64 that I saved today, would have been in their cash register instead of my bank account!  So in that respect, this was also a win for me!

Hopefully, you all know that SS is Smart Source and RP is Redplum , I'm pretty sure you all know that, but just in case, there you have it.

Have a great rest of the weekend....God Bless and see you next week.....Rhonda Goff

Wednesday 5/16/12 after Walmart Shop

I am always amazed when I come out of Walmart.....I honestly do believe their prices are less than the other stores.  Then why don't I shop there more often???  I can't answer that.  I did well there today.

The Welch's Sparkling juice was $2.97, not $2.48, however, I did use my $1/1 coupons making those $1.97.  I printed the coupon off of coupons.com.  Del Monte Pineapple, crushed or slices were .88 each, I had a coupon for $1 off 4, which made them .63 each.  The Chef Boy R D cans were .88 each, I had coups for $1 off 4, making those .63 each.  That coupon also came from coupons.com.  Castleberry Hotdog Chile was .68 each, coupons for $1/2 (also from coupons.com), made those .18 each.  Bayer aspirin low dose was $2.22 each, I had coupons for $2.50 off 2 and $1 off 1, bought 5 at $1.05 each.  Gillette Good News 5 ct. was $3.47, we have coupons for buy that and get a 4pk of custom Plus 3 for free..the custom pluses were $5.47.  I used my bogo coupon and had another coupon for $2 off on the custom pluses.....bought 2 of each which should have been $17.88, take out $10.94 for the 2 free ones, leaves $6.94, with $2 off each of the 2 Custom pluses was $2.94 for 4 packs of razors or .74 per pack of razors!  ha.  I'm gonna do that one 2 more times.  The Gillette coups were in one of the Proctor & Gamble folders.  Did not find the 2oz Nivea Creme lotions, or the Gain Dish Soap for .97 but I did find the Reach Floss that was .97 and we had coupons for $1 off 1, making those FREE.  I bought a new file folder storage box for my new couponning system that was $7.97, bought my Prell shampoo...never any coupons, but it's what works on my hair, gets it super clean and shiny.  Bought rolls, Green peppers and Steakums and FF for dinner tonight also.  All in all, I spent $49.51 for ya ready for this....$77.23 in goods!  I thought that was well worth my time and energy!  Bought a Suave Shampoo & conditioner for .97 each also.  Spent $8.19 for church on the 4 cans of Chef Boy R D, the 2 Castelberry Hotdog Chiles, 3 cans of Del Monte Pineapple,  2 packs of Gillette Razors, 2 Reach Dental Flosses, Suave Cream rinse & shampoo...1 of each,   not bad for what all I got.  Okay, that's it for me for today!   Check out Walmart, they do seem to have the best prices.

I'll let you know when I do the Publix/Winn Dixie run.  Meanwhile, let me know if you all find some goodies.

God Bless.....Rhonda Goff

Wednesday 5/16/12

Hi all, I've been looking over the sales beginning tomorrow at Publix.....looks like a fairly good week out there. I've made a list....one for our church food pantry and one for us.  Couponistas were told we would be receiving  a $100 donation for the Church Food Pantry and I've been putting together a list for the pantry, if you know me, you know I have to have a plan....I HOPE we can turn the $100 donation into at least $175 in value for the pantry, doubling it would be even better!  I've also put a list together for Walmart, I intend to stop there today for a few things.  There are a few FREE items at Walmart ie. Reach floss is rumored to be .86...I've searched for this one before, but I will look again....there is a coup for $1 off from RPlum on 3/04...we'll see, also Sun Drop drinks, 2L $1, coup for $1 off from SS 5/6 makes that free.  Gain Dish washing liquid is 9 oz. for .97, coup for 1/1 in Ebony magazine.  Suave Naturals Shampoo & conditioners are .96, coup for .50 off 1 makes those .46.  Nivea Creme lotion 2oz is $1.97, $2 off coup from RP 4/29 makes that free.  Now remember, I have not done any of these, I just plan to check them out today and see if they are for real.

I will also be putting together a list for Winn Dixie for us and the Food Pantry.  I want to make sure we get the best values for the $$.  By shopping all 3 stores, that should be doable.

FYI on FB under Vidalia Onions, there is a coupon for .50 off 5# of Vidalia Onions.

For us True Blue Truvia users......There is a store coupon in the Yellow Publix flier that ends on 5/18 for $1 off and .75/1 mfg coupons out there making those $2.24 per package.  Not too bad.

Okay, heading out today to do errands and will stop by Walmart to see what I can stir up.  If you find things that everyone wants to know about, please let us know and we will share it!

God Bless and happy couponning!    Rhonda Goff

Friday 5/11/12

Hi fellow couponers.  Well, another week has gone by....and again I did not shop drug stores this week, and very little at the grocery stores.  I was on the other side of town for a doctor appt. yesterday, so I did a quick Whole Foods Market run and stopped at a very old Publix store over there.  Here's how I did.

Whole Foods Market I spent $84.01 and used $12 in coupons that I found on line.  Not a stellar performance, but considering the things I bought are not readily available on the Westside.....since we don't have a big health food store! I did pretty well.  We do have a small one in OP, but they don't carry a lot.  At any rate, I went to the Wholefoods.com website, looked over the sales, went to their coupon section and printed out what I needed and took off.  FYI....their coupons are good for the entire month of May.  I bought 2 boxes of Nature's Rancher Black Angus Burgers were $7.99, coupon for $1 off, made those $6.99.  I know you are thinking....pricey, but considering that these are NO antibiotics, no hormones and totally vegetable fed cattle, it was a good deal for us.  6 per box at $1.16 per burger is not bad for something that's good for you, just my humble opinion.  Also bought ground organic turkey for $3.99 per pound.  Organic Tortilla Chips and Organic Salsa, I had coupons for both, salsa ended up at $1 and chips (huge bag) $2.49.  Thinkthin crunch bars were $1.25 and I had a store coup for $1 off and a mfg. coup for $1 off, actually made $$ on those.  Cliff mojo bars were $1 each, had a coupon for $1/2, ended up at .50 each.  7th generation Liquid dish soap (Lavender my favorite) was on sale for $3, had a coupon for $1 off.  Crofter fruit spreads were $4.29, I had a coupon for $1 off 2, these are all fruit no added anything.  Bought a bag of organic yellow onions, organic green beans, organic walnuts and pistachio nuts, organic bananas and organic parsley.  I truly have to be very careful in this store, I want everything in there!  It's a beautiful store with so many exotic things, just be careful, not everything in there is organic....some is billed as "all natural" which is different.  One thing I didn't find was Walnut butter, I love love walnut butter....great on Waffles with SF Maple syrup!

Publix....this was an old store, they didn't even carry their own brand of organic milk!  ha.  I did the Barilla Pasta/sauce deal.  Not a real great deal, but since the pasta was bogo, I used my coupon for if you buy one pasta and 1 sauce, you get .55 off.  I wanted to get the Welches juices, but they were not 100% juices, we use them at church for communion, but they have to be the 100% juice, those were not the ones on sale.  I bought 2 of my new favorite laundry softener....Purex Crystals...these smell fabulous and the smell lasts way longer than the Downey or anything else I've found.  I had $1 off coupons for those.  Not a great sale day in this Publix, spent $55.87 for $71.53 in items....not my best effort, but sometimes you just need stuff.

Okay, that's it for this week.  I hope you all did better than I did, but again, I feel like every dollar I DON"T give them, is a win for our household!

Have a great weekend and a great Mother's Day for all of you hard-working moms out there.  God Bless and see you next week.......Rhonda Goff

Friday 5/4/12

I have not shopped for groceries this week, just picked up a few things (with my husband along and no coupons)...well, you know how that turned out....oh, look at that?  Oh, lets get one of these.....oh, this looks so good.   He's on restriction from the grocery store!

IF you are going to try filing your coupon inserts by date, instead of cutting them all out and putting in  your books, I found a website that posts what we have coming up in the next week's inserts.  And she lists them in Alpha order......so I printed them out to put in my folders with my inserts for this week.  It should make it easier to find something when you need it.  The site is CuckooForCouponsDeals.com.  I am hoping this will prove to be the answer for quickly finding what I need when sales come up. I plan on numbering my pages in the insert as I go and placing the page number on the alpha list.   I still intend to cut out and file my staple items so I can find those easily too.  This will be a trial and error experience I'm sure, but for now, this is my plan.  I will keep you posted on how it's working out for me.  If you are already on this system, please feel free to let me know how you do it, and what works for you.  I just don't want to see a really good sale and not know or can't find my coupons for the item.

Okay, looking forward to hearing from you on this system or anything else you might want to say.

God Bless and have a great weekend.......Rhonda Goff

Tuesday, 5/1/12

Just got back from 2 Walgreen's stores.  I bought 24 rolls of quilted Northern TP for .99....here's how I did it.

1st stor
Deal 1  Bought 2 Starbucks Refreshers for $1.49 each, coupon in Pepsico book 4/26 made them FREE.
Bought 1 Kotex U Sleek Tampons for $3.99, had a coup from SS 3/25 for $1 off, made
them $2.99 and got back $3 in Register Rewards.
Bought 2 Colgate Optic White Tooth paste at 2/$7, had coups for $1 off each one from
SS 4/15, making them $5 for 2 and got back $3 in Register rewards.  Spent $7.99 out
of pocket, got back $6 in RR to apply to my next deal.
Deal 2       Bought my Benefiber....NO COUPON, NO SALE but I needed it for $13.99...
Bought 1 pkg. of Quilted Northern TP for $5.99, no coupon.  My $6 RR from the previous
deal paid for my TP, so I only had to pay for my Benefiber!

2nd Store
Deal 1        Bought the Noxema Disposable Razors for $3.99 no coup got back $2 in RR
Bought 2 more Colgate Optic White TP 2/$7 had coups for $1off each one, making them
$5 again and got back $3 in RR

Deal 2        Bought 1 12pk of Quilted Northern TP, for $5.99, used my $5 in RR, cost me .99. Plus I
bought a .30 filler item to make my coups come out right.

My total OOP was $37.64...only reason is was so high was because of my stupid Benefiber!  Total value was $69.87.  I saved $32.23 all in all.  Not a bad day.  I was super excited about the TP deal.

Okay, get on out there and see what you can save too!

God Bless and happy shopping.....Rhonda Goff.
