Don't forget you can join the email portion of this and get an email any time I post anything I've done that I feel worthy of mentioning coupon-wise.
Walgreens had Red Baron Pizzas $5.99, buy one get one free. We also had coupons from Smart Source on 1/20 for $1 off 2 pizzas. Bought 4 for $2.49 each. Nice for a movie night at home. They had quite a bit of stock too.
With Billy under the weather, I needed to buy more Coricidin....I found a printable coupon for $2.00 off 1 on the Coricidin site on FB....Coricidin was $7.99 with $2/1 made it $5.99.
Schick Hydro Razors were on sale for $9.99, we had a coupon for $4 off 1 razor from Smart Source on 2/10 and they gave me back a $4.00 Register Reward that I can spend on something else. So my final price on that was $1.99.
I wanted the Kraft Velveeta Shell & Cheese, Cheesy Skillets or Deluxe Mac & Cheese for $2.00 each. I had coupons from Smart Source 2/10 for $1 off 2 of them, which would have made them $1.50 each. Not great but okay...however the store on Argyle was out! So don't go there for these.
All in all I saved $21.98 got a $4 Register Reward and earned 1,000 balance rewards points. When you get to 5,000 of those, you can cash them in for $5 off you purchase. It does require you to sign up though.
That's it for today.....have a good week and God Bless.....Rhonda Goff

Thursday 2/7/13
Did a Publix run this afternoon and didn't do GREAT, but a couple of deals you may want to do.
Hall's Cough Drops were bogo at $1.69 for 2 and we had coupons from SS 2/3/13 for $1 off 2, making those .35 per package. Hefty One Zip Bags were 2 for $3, we had coupons from RP 1/6, or RP 11/11 for $1.50 off 2 making those .75 per package and they had several sizes available. Angel Soft TP was $5.49 for the 12 roll pkg. and there is a printable coupon for $1.00 off making those $4.49 or .37 per roll. They also had their Grass Fed ground beef marked down to $6.29 per pound, saving you $1 per pound. I know it's pricey, but no poison in this stuff! Sargento shredded cheeses were bogo at $4.19 and we had coupons for .50 off 2, making those $1.85 per package. Not a great day, but I was in a hurry and when you buy meats.....jeepers creepers!
Okay, have a great rest of the week and God Bless....Rhonda Goff

Wednesday 1/16/13
Did a run to Walmart today. Our Women's Ministry group is going to do a shower for one of the locations (unknown to us) for one of the safe houses for the young ladies who have been sold into sexual slavery. At any rate, we are couponing and trying to come up with things like pads, tampons....anything that would help these young women. I hit a bonanza at Walmart today! Poise fresh up towlettes were $2.97 per package, we had MFG Q from Smartsource on Sunday, 1/13 for $3 off one, I got 4 of those and made .12. They had Kotex panty liners on sale for .94 per package, we had MFG Q from SS 1/13 for 1.50/2, got those for .19 per package, 8 of those....Yeah, all for the shower. Found other good deals at Walmart today. Addicted to saving site had a coupon you could print for $2.00 off a 3 lb bag of grapefruit, I got a 5 pound bag of pink for $1.78. Ruffies Trash bags were 1.62, had a MFG Q for $1.50/2, making those .87 per package. I printed that Q on coupons.com. Old Spice Deod was $2.00, I had Q for $1 off 2, making those 1.50 each. I just ate an entire can of Margaret Holmes canned tomatoes, corn & okra.....man was that good! We have Margaret Holmes canned goods Q from a long time ago, don't remember exactly when we got them but they are good until May! They had a great variety of Margaret Holmes canned goods in Walmart, and each can was .98, our Q were for ..35 off each one, making those only .63 per can. Bought milk and ground turkey, stuff for Chile, paper towels...can't seem to catch a break on paper products. All in all I think I did really well. Total before coupons was $117.09, after Q's, it was $85.84. .27 percent savings, I've done better but not lately, but it's still dollars in my pocket that they did not get! That's a win to me. How to figure your percent of savings? Divide your total amount saved by the total value (before your coupons) and that gives you your percentage of savings. Okay, have a good day and rest of week, I think that will do it for me for this week. IF you have ladies items that you would like to donate somewhere, we have a place for them. Let me know and I will arrange to get them. God Bless and save some $$$.

Monday 1/14/13
I am so sorry I haven't posted for some time, hopefully I can get back to it. I shopped today at Wags & CVS. If you have not already done so, sign up for your Wags balance rewards card, after using it, I like it much better than the Register Rewards program. You can spend your bonus points on whatever you like, no restrictions. (Except tobacco & prescriptions I think) Good deal. 1,000 bonus points is actually $1 in the grand scheme of things. They want you to have accrued at least 5,000 to use a $5 off bonus, and 10,000 to use a $10 off bonus.
Total at Wags I did 2 deals. First one was Cottonelle bath tissue was $5 for a 12 pack and if you bought 2, you got a 1,000 point bonus AND I had mfg.coups for .50 off each one. All said and done, I paid .33 per roll for the TP. They had Lindsey Olive coupons in the Wags flyer for .99 per can. Then in preparation for cold & flu season, I bought a box of Mucinex for $19.99 (normally $22.99) had a coupon for $2 off 1, which I printed from the FB Mucinex site and I received 3,000 points for buying the item. I spent $28.97 for $35.99 in goods and went forward with 4,000 bonus points (or $4.00).
2nd deal, they had Poise & Depend pads 10.99 per package, bought 1 of each for $21.98, used a $4/1 coupon that printed when I did my first wags deal and I had a mfg. for $1 off the other from SS 1/13, then I used $5 or 5,000 of my bonus rewards points (I already had some accrued plus the 4,000 I earned in the first deal, bringing my total to $13.52 saving me $8.56. Not bad.
CVS was next and I mainly went for the Dawn Dish Soaps, we had coupons from Jan. Proctor & Gamble flyer for .50 off the Dawn hand care and .25 off the regular dawn. My supplies were low, so I bought 5 of each at .99 each, after coupons they were .61 each. These are the small 9 ounce bottles, but they run this sale all the time with Dawn or Palmolive and it works out really well for me.
Okay, that's what I did today. Let me know if you all find some savvy deals.

Tuesday 11/13/12
Did some drop in shops today. I used my first $5 Bonus Rewards at Walgreens. They had some decent deals, however, our Wags was out of the Lindsey Olives for .99, which there is a printable coupon on the coupons.com site for $1/1 can of Lindsey Olives. I bought the boxes of Cheese it crackers for .99...no coupon involved. My best deal there was the Breathe Right Nasal Strips....in the Wags November booklet is a coupon for $2 off each box (which worked on the 10 count) and we have coupons for $1.50 off the 10 count boxes.....got 3 boxes for $4.49 per box. Used my $5 bonus rewards...the cashier gives you the option to use them or save them, then you just have to approve it on the machine. Pretty easy.
Dollar Tree....I love it there at Christmas Time. I bought a few stocking stuffer type things, some kitchen Christmas rugs for $1 each....I've bought the nicer rugs in the past, after a wash I ended up throwing them away anyway, so $1 is fine for a couple of months. Got some Christmas storage containers, Spic N Span spray, Palmolive bath soap, 3 bars for $1...we love that soap. Got some Disney paint sets for some little people I know and some marshmallow suckers for their Christmas goodie bags! Came out with 24 items for $24 plus tax. Not bad. Dollar Tree still has the Libby's canned fruits and veggies for .75 each and we just got new coupons again for $1/4 again. It's my understanding that we may get them even cheaper at Dollar General starting on Sunday....keep an eye out. Would love to buy 16 cans for less than .50 each, wouldn't you?
Big Lots next....no, they STILL don't take coupons, but they had 2 of the 3.5 ft lit trees for beside your front door for $40 for the 2. They are prelit and flocked, they were really cute little trees. Bought some Honey roasted peanuts for a boy I know who thinks you can't have Thanksgiving without them...Bob's Mill unbleached natural flour and natural Tapioca pudding beads and a new Christmas Gate Hanger.
Publix has our Truvia sweeteners for $3.99 (40 ct. box) and we have $2/1 coupons. Can't remember where they are from, but my friend Dianna will want to take advantage of that too.
TGIF snacks were $1 each. Bought all my ingred for my snack mix....not a cheap endeavor by any means, but I had coupons for most of the crackers and things... Hidden Valley Ranch dry dressings were 3/$5, wish I'd had a coupon. Here is my really great deal....I've been using the Nicorette Losenges to quit smoking, we have $10/1 package coupons and I used my $5/$55 WD coupon for those. Hopefully, this should be my last package of those...I've been quit now for 51 days! These should take me up through the end. Thank God! I've already saved around $300! If you need to know how I did, email me and I will hook you up with the program I used.
I don't imagine I will be doing much more shopping before Thanksgiving, as we are going to our daughter's in NC for the holiday. My next shop will be in Shelby, NC! I wish you all wonderful Thanksgiving memories and just take the time to be Thankful, we have much and others have so little. I will also be thanking God for my coupon shopping endeavors too, sometimes He leads me right to a great deal! Happy Thanksgiving to you all and God Bless you...

Friday 11/9/12
Did a quick Publix run on Friday to pick up on a few things they had on sale. Haven't been too impressed with anyone's sales here lately. This sale runs through Wednesday 11/14 if you want to do some of these deals yourselves.
Suave Body Lotions were bogo at $3.21 for 2, had coupons from RP 10/14 for $2/2 which made those .60 each. Betty Crocker Potatoes were bogo at $1.99 for 2, had .50/2 which I printed on coupons.com, making those .75 each. Halls Cough Drops were bogo $1.69 for 2, had coupons from SS 11/4 for $1/2 making those .35 each. Kraft Stove Top stuffing was bogo at $1.69 for 2, printed coupons from coupons.com for $1/2 making those .34 each. Campbells cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soups were bogo at $1.33/2, had coupons for $1/4 coupons.com or SS 11/4 for .35/4. Those ended up at .58 each. I use these in EVERYTHING so I stocked up with 16 of them. Progresso broth was bogo at $2.59, searched high and low for coupons and found none, so those were $1.29 each without coupons. Except for some things to make soup (fresh veggies), milk and bread, that was about it for last week. Hopefully there will be better deals this week. The coupons we got on Sunday 11/11 were much better than I've been seeing.
I've not been too impressed with Wags new system, Cvs has been better lately...although I've not shopped either unless I just had to have something. This weeks ads look a little better to me. Will let you know if I find any good deals for us. Let me know if you find any as well.
Okay, seems to me we are rushing things a bit this year, more so than normal. I saw my first Salvation Army Bell Ringer in front of Publix on Friday??? Really??? I thought those came out after Thanksgiving? I've also seen on line where everyone seems to be posting their Black Friday deals early??? Really? I find this a bit annoying.....can't we just enjoy Thanksgiving and being Thankful before we jump into Christmas??? Just a thought.
God Bless and take a moment to just be Thankful! Rhonda Goff

Saturday 10/27/12
I did well earlier in the week, our church needed candy for our Fall Festival, so I shopped the Wags sales with my coupons and got a ton of candy and saved $27. I also earned a ton of reward points, which I need to find out how to use them???? I haven't done that yet.
Yesterday, I shopped the Publix sales. Here's a few of my better deals. Bear in mind, getting ready for our Thanksgiving trip to North Carolina, and we always take a load of goodies to the kids when we go to stay.
Totinos Pizzas....my son in law loves them...were 4/$5...found coups on Coupons.com for $1/4, making those $1 each. Totinos Pizza rolls were bogo at $4.29 for 2 bags, had coupons for .40/2, big whoop right?, coupon from 8/5 SS made those $1.95 per bag. Caribou Ground Coffee was bogo at $9.99 for 2, had coupons from SS 9/16 for $2/1, making those $2.99 per bag. Libbys Skinny fruits were $1ea, had coupons from RP 8/26 for $1/4, making those .75 each. Bar S hotdogs were bogo at $1.49 for 2, had coupons for .75/2 making those .37 per package.....whoo hoo. McCormick spices were NOT on sale, but had a coupon (coupons.com) for $1.75/2, so those were a better than normal deal. Activia yogurts were 4pk for $2, had coupons from SS 9/16 for .75/1, making those $1.25 each. Bounty paper towels and Charmin Bath Tissue were $10.99 for the big packages....don't normally buy them because the coupons are like .25/1...big deal...but there is a promotion going on through 10/31 where if you spend $30 on P & G products in 1 shopping trip, you can earn a free set of Pink cooking utensils. The set last year was a baking set and was really nice. The forms are behind the counter at customer service and their are a ton of different products that qualify. I also bought the Aussie hair care and Herbal Essence hair care products were were on sale for 2/$5, had coupons $1/1from RP 10/7, making those $1.50 each. Those will go into some of my Christmas gift bags. Publix brand onion soup mix (which is just as good as Liptons) was only .99 each. I bought some meat and vegetables & fruits also and the fixins for Chile for Fla/Ga game too.
I felt like the shop was a pretty good one...although I spent more than I have in a long time!!! However, I saved $140.08, spent $201.64.
Also, don't forget about Dollar Trees, from what I've been reading, some folks are doing pretty well there with coupons. Need to check them out every so often. Have a great rest of the weekend. God Bless....Rhonda Goff

Thursday 10/18/12
Well, I didn't really shop last week, just picked up a few things here and there....big mistake! You know how that goes. I did Publix today with the newest ad and did fairly well.
Bought Jingo's....boy are they good, of course almost anything Peppridge Farm puts their name on is good! They were 2 boxes for $4, I had coupons for $1/1 making them $1 per box. Tombstone Pizzas were bogo, did not have a coupon, bought them anyway for $3.15 each. Eckrich Sausage was bogo, $2.99/2 and I printed coupons from coupons.com for 55/1 making those .94 each. Fructise shampoo and conditioners were $2.99 each, had coups for $1/1 from RP 10/21, making those $1.99 each. Playtex Tampons were bogo for $4.59 for 2, had $1/1 (printed from coupons.com), making those $1.29 each. Bought Bridgeford frozen bread dough to make my cinny buns or should I say "sinny" buns, no coupon. Fab laundry soap was bogo $3.99/2 and I had coupons for $1.50 off/3....bought 6 for $1.49 each. Coupons were in the SS 9/30. Finish DW soaps were bogo for the Gel caps and the Quantum, coupons from SS 10/14....50/1 of the gelcaps and .75/1 of the Quantums. They ended up at 6.99 for 2, bought 4, 2 of each, for $2.87 each. Angel Soft tissue was 2 4-roll packs of the double rolls for $5, we had .25/1, they cost me .56 per roll. Glade Candles were 2/$5, printed coupons off coupons.com for $1/2, making those $2 each. Lysol wipes were bogo and this included the ones with the scrubby stuff on one side for $4.89 for 2, had coups from SS 10/14 for .50 off 2 (Big Whoop, could they spare it?) making those $2.19 each. Getting ready for cold & flu season, Coridican HBP products were $5.69 each, got coups from SS last weekend for $3/1, so only paid $2.69 for those. Bought a roast, deli lunch meat, cheese, flour and brown sugar, potatoes...all with no coupons. I won't be buying laundry soap or dishwasher soap for a good long time! I also used my $5/$55 WD coupon, so that helped. Spent $139.27 for $233.86 in groceries. I felt very successful. I hope you'all do well too. Maybe sales are picking up a bit for us.
That's it for me this week, God Bless and shop smart, I know you all do. Rhonda Goff

Rhonda Goff

Tuesday 10/2/12
My shop from Monday, 10/1 is as follows. Not everything that I listed on the previous blog worked out....I forgot that it was October, so my September P & G coupons were gonners....oh well, I did okay anyway.
First stop, CVS, first off, when I ran my card through the machine, I got a ton of coupons and one for $3.50 off anything. Deal 1 They had Soft soap body washes $3.50 each, we had coupons from this past Sunday for .50/1, making those $6.00, I had an ECB left from the other week for $4, making my oop $2, and got back $4 ECB. I had to include a filler item to make the coupons come out right. Deal 2, I needed a personal care item that was $12.79, used my $3.50 coupon and my $4 ECB from the previous deal used a filler item and spent $6.38. Total spent was $9.27 for $24.75 in products.
Next stop was Walmart. I bought the campbells good for cookin soups were $1 each, had coupons for .40/4 coupons from SS 9/16 making those .90 each. Don't know about you, but I use those in everything and .90 isn't half bad for them. They had Heinz Homestyle beans for $1 each, we had coupons for .50/2 from SS 9/23, making those .75 each. Carnation canned milk (for our holiday baking) was .98 each, we had coups for .50/2 from RP 9/30 making those .73 each. The Orange Crush and Sierra mist was supposed to be $1, I found that it was NOT. I'll check back later on that. Estracell Sponges were 2 in a package for .97, we have coups for .50/2 package making those .72 for 2 sponges. Stayfree Pads....2 different types 14-24 count were $2.86, we have coups for $2/1 from SS 8/26 making those .86 each. Cover Girl powder puffs/sponge puffs were $2.94, we have coups for $3/2 from P & G Oct, making those $1.44 each. Dove mens body wash was $3.47, we have coupons for $2/1 from RP 9/30 (I think) making those $1.47. Total before coupons was $84.46, after coupons was $57.26, not too bad. Was able to get some things for Food Pantry.
Publix next.....Uncle Bens 5 pound bags of rice was bogo at $7.79 for 10 pounds! I printed a coupon from coupons.com for $1/3 Uncle Bens Products, so I bought 6 bags of rice 30 pounds for $21.37 and was able to use my $5/30 WD coupon when all was said and done, so the rice cost me about .55 per pound. 2 bags for us, 2 bags for Ashley and 2 bags for Food Pantry. The other thing I went for was the Swanson Flavor Boosts, Publix had them 2/$3 (each package holds 4 of them), there was a Coupon in the Yellow flyer for $2 off 4 of the items and we have coupons for .50 off each....bottom line is they costs us .50 for 4 in the package and they had several different flavors. Bought a couple of other things I needed, but only spent $31.61 for $73.90 in food.
I felt the day went pretty well. I still haven't been over to Wags to sign up for my new card or to shop, they just really haven't had anything on sale to temp me! Maybe next week. Okay, have a great week, the Publix rice deal I think ends tomorrow and the Swanson stuff goes through 10/12 I think. Check it out.

Sunday 9/30/12
Hi all, I haven't shopped much this passed week, however payday is looming large ahead! I just ran across a goody you might want to stockpile for Fall/Winter or donate to your food pantry.
In the Publix Yellow Flyer that ends on 10/12, Publix has the Swanson Flavor Boosts 2 for $3.00. There is also a Publix coupon for $2 off 4 participating products, Swanson Boosts is one of them in the same flyer. We also have a coupon or .50/1 which will make those .50 each for us. They are great for making soups or sauces. I plan to buy 8 of them.
There were also several candy sales at Wags, CVS, Walmart and we have a ton of coupons. I think the best price I saw over all was at Walmart. I know our church collects candy for our Fall Festival, sure would be nice to get a deal on it!
The only thing I will go to Wags for is the Dawn Dish washing liquid for .99, we have the coupon for .75/1 in our August P & G.
CVS has Soft Soap Body washes for $3.50 each, if you buy 2 and use the .50/1 coupon we got today you will get a $4 ECB to use on something else. I think I actually have a $4 left from the other week. So....I will buy 2 at $7.00, minus my (2) .50/1 coupons, makes them $6, then I will use my ECB for $4, making them $2 OOP and get back $4 ECB. I like the sound of that. Then perhaps I can used the $4 ECB with some coupons for candy. I like that plan.
Walmart has several things..Sierra Mist or Crush are $1 for the big bottles. We just got a coupon in the Moments flyer for $1/2 making those .50 each if you buy 2. Carnation milk is .98 and we just got coupons for .50/2 making those .73 each....great for our holiday baking.
I will let you all know if I find any other nifty deals. Have a great week and God Bless. Rhonda Goff

Thursday 9/20
Ran in to Winn Dixie today only to get Rotel tomatoes...they were 10/10 and we had coups from SS 9/16 for .40/2 so those cost me .80 per can. I like to have them on hand for Chile Weather.....soon, please God. Bought some cheese that was on sale, and a couple of Organic items that were marked down. Didn't do much there. Spent $25.58 for $36.18 in goods. Also earned .05 off my next gas fill up.
Publix was next, I did 2 deals there. The first one was mainly meats...Spent $51.25 for $68.29 in meat...used one of my $5 off $30 Winn Dixie Coupons. 2nd deal.....we are having the kids/grand kids over on Sunday after church...so...the first deal included a ham for Sunday. Deal 2 is mostly the fixens...I did get a couple of good deals though. Pict Sweet Frozen Vegetables were bogo at $3.89 for 2, no coupons, but not a bad deal at $1.94 each. Alexia onion rings and sweet potato fries and reg fries were bogo at $3.79 for 2, we had coupons for .55/1 SS 9/16 making those $1.34 each. They are really good. Barilla Pasta Sauces were bogo at $2.89 for 2, or 1.45 each, no current coupons. Skintimate ladies shave creams were 2/$4, we had coupons for .55/1 from SS 8/12 making those $1.45 each. They had some really nice Organic peaches & nectartines, bananas and fresh green beans, so I did buy quite a few fruits & Veggies. The only down side to our weekly Organic Fruit & Veggie co-op, the amounts of things really doesn't allow for company, so I had to pick up some things. I used another of my WD $5 off $30 on this deal, so saved $10 in all with the two deals plus my coupons. Not a great day, but if I save a little, it's better than when I used to pay full price for everything! It's hard to find great deals on meat or organic fruits and vegetables, but I figure it's less trips to the doctor when you eat better food.....so we win anyway!
Have a great weekend all, let me know if you find some great deals. God Bless.....Rhonda Goff

Walgreens Balance Reward Program. This is from DivineDealDiva...
Walgreens New Balance Rewards Program
Walgreens is introducing a new Rewards program this week (Beginning 9/16). Each time you shop Walgreens you will earn Balance Rewards (points). They are similar to CVS and Rite-Aids loyalty reward programs with the exception that Walgreens wants to reward you for living a happy, healthy and well balanced life and will award you Balance Rewards.
You may have noticed in your weekly sales ad the new program. Instead of Register Rewards that you would normally earn on items, you will earn points. (Walgreens will begin phasing out the majority of Register Rewards earned in the past by end of 2012)
You can sign up for the New Balance Rewards Card HERE. If you do not want to carry around another loyalty card, you can choose to just use your phone number just like at CVS.
You can earn thousand of points on many of the items you buy now. Earn points every time you shop or fill a prescription at Walgreens. If you are an online Walgreens shopper, you can earn the Balance Reward Points just as if you were shopping in store. Don’t forget that you can also get immunizations from your Walgreen’s Pharmacist (in select locations) and earn more points.
Can I Use Coupons?
Yes you can even use coupons just like we do today on your purchases. With the new Balance Rewards program you will even earn points in the same transaction when you buy multiple items. Unlike the Register Rewards you could not. For example: Buy 1 pack of toilet paper and earn 500 points, Buy 2 packs of the same toilet paper and earn 1,000 points.
Do my points ever expire?
Your Balance Reward points will expire 36 months from the day you earn them. If you are not an active shopper at Walgreens within 6 months of earning the points they may expire sooner.
Redeeming Points:
You can redeem your points instantly once you have 5,000 points you can redeem INSTANTLYfor a $5.00 Reward (as if using a $5.00 Register Reward). No cash will be given in place of rewards; they are converted to redemption dollars.
This chart will help with the breakdown:
What if I need to return an Item that earned Balance Reward Points?
If you have to return an item that earned points, they will be deducted from your points account.
Rain Checks:
Walgreens will still give Rain checks, but the Point Promotions will not apply to rain check purchases that are purchases AFTER the promotion has ended. This is the same policy as before with Register Rewards.
Some Exclusions May Apply:
Balance Reward Points will not be earned on and Redemption points can’t be used on alcohol, dairy, lottery tickets, money orders, phone cards, stamps, tobacco lottery tickets.
Points Expiration:
Be patient when checking out over the next (2) two weeks, because it will take a few extra minutes to get everyone signed up for the program. YOU can sign up today online

Monday 9/17/12
Pretty good shops today, nothing major, but still all in all, good.
First stop was Dollar Tree. I bought single roll Bounty Basic paper towels were, of course, $1 per roll, I had coups for .25 off each, got those for .75 per roll, bought 5. Those coupons are in your P & G for September. Libbys canned vegetable were .79 per can, I had coupons for $1 off 4 cans (Redplum 8/26, making those .54 per can. I looked at a couple of other things, but the sizes weren't right. I did buy (without coupons) Dial soaps were 3/$1, so bought 12 bars even without coupons. Our coupons for those expired on 9/9 I think. I had 20 items and my total was $15.84. Not too bad.
Next stop, CVS. Deal 1 CVS had the deal going that if you spent $20 on Nexxus products, you would get $10 back in ECBs. My Nexxus comb through hair spray was $12.79 each. I bought 2 and also had (2) $3/1 coupons that I printed from one of the coupon sites. Bought 2 of the Hershey's candies $3 each with a $1/2 coupon and made $2 ECB on that. So, spent $24.58 for all and got back $12 ECBs. Deal 2 I bought a pkg of Breathrite Nasal strips for $12.99 (no coupon) and 2 of the Colgate 360 Clean toothbrushes which were $2.99 each, had two coupons for $1/1, got back $2 ECB for each one, that was a break even deal. I had to get 1 filler item to make my coupon count come out right. I used my $12 ECBs and the 2 $1/1 coupons, making that total $6.97! and got back $4 ECB's to use for next time I go. Total Savings was $28.97 divided by total value of $60.52 48% savings! I call that a win.
3rd stop, Publix. They still had the Truvia sweeteners on sale for $2.99 for the 40ct. package and thank you Redplum this past weekend for the $2 off 1 coupons, I bought 4 for .99 each! Wish I had more coupons for those. I think I've only bought Truvia once since the Food Lion's closed, I had really stocked up on those during that time.
Okay, that's my story and I'm stickin to it! God Bless.....Rhonda Goff

Monday 9/10/12
Well, I have not seen much in the sale flyers. I HAD to go to Target for a wedding gift, while I was there, I notice they had Tyson Chicken Strips (Cheddar/Jalapeno and Cheddar/Bacon) on mark down at $3.99 per bag. I looked for coupons, found a .75/1 for the Nuggets...wonder if that would work? Might be worth a try.
Stopped at Wags for one thing only.......They had Wet & Wild nail polishes for $1.49, this past weekend, we got coupons from SS for $1/1 making those .49 each. They had some real fun colors. Those will go into my stash for Christmas gift bags.
Other than that, I was not impressed with either Wags, CVS or Target. Wags is coming out with a new deal for us next week. Watch and see. I think it will involve a card, but I don't really know how it will all play out. I sure hope they don't restrict us like CVS by only letting us do 1 deal! I may have to take my business elsewhere if that is the case.
When the food ads come out, we'll see what those do for us. Til then, God Bless....Rhonda Goff

Friday 9/7/12
I finally went out to shop yesterday....I really had to hunt for deals! Not much out there for sure. My first stop was Walmart. I needed some things from there that are not traditionally on sale, but I have found Walmart every day low prices to be less than most of the stores. Anyway, when you go to Walmart, there are several different aisles in the store where they have a row of mark-downs. No rhyme or reason to them, you just have to look. A friend had told me that canning jars were marked down so I went hunting. I found them in the mark down aisle and had coupons to boot for $1/1case, bought 2 cases. I bought them for $6.27 each after my coupons, they came with the lids. I also bought some Kozy Shack sugar free pudding cups, they were not on sale but I had a coupon for $1/2 making those $1.98 each. That was about it for Walmart.
Next Stop, CVS. Don't forget when you are at CVS to stop by the cashier, use your card to sign up for next year's double your ECB's. I think it starts in January. My main purpose was to find new skin care items called Nuance. Luckily, they were buy one get one for 50% off. I spent $40.91 for 2 types of cleansers, one day/night cream and 1 oil Elixir. Without the sale, I would have spent $54.56. Geez, skin care is really expensive, but.....what do you do as you get older? Bought another Colgate Optic White which was $2.99, had a coupon for .75/1 from SS 8/12 and got back $1ECB. I also opted to buy the Earth Essence Paper towels for $3.99 for the 8 pack, no coupon.
On to Walgreens I stopped there for the Reynolds Wrap for $1.59 for the 30 yd boxes, I had $1/1 coupons, so I bought 4 for .59 each. SS 8/19. Then, Quilted Northern Ultra Plush bath tissue was $3.49 for the 9 roll pack, bought 2 and used my $1/1 coupons making those .28 per roll which is not too bad for decent tissue. The Northern coupons I printed.
Publix...not a lot happening there this week. They had New England brand coffee bogo at $7.69, I had written to the company and they sent me coupons for .50/1, so those ended up costing me $3.34 each. The Maruchan Yakisoba Japanese Noodles were bogo at .99 had coups for .50/1 from SS 8/26, so I made .02 on those. Lou Ann Canola oil was bogo at $4.15 for 2, no coupon, but I think there may be a printable one available. The darn Magnum Ice Cream bars were bogo at $3.99 for 2, thank goodness my coupons expired on 8/26....but still a good deal at $3.99...NO I did not buy more! Pedigree Dentastix for my girls (dogs) were bogo at $3.59, I printed coupons from coupons.com for those, $1/1, so I got those for .79 per package. That is about all I found there....not a great sale week. However, we do still have to eat, right?
Maybe next week will be better. Take care and if you find some great deals, let us know! God Bless....Rhonda Goff

Monday 8/27/12
Okay, fellow couponers.....our coupon group went to the Dollar Tree at Cedar Hills on Blanding, it's one of the larger Dollar Tree Stores. We were pretty successful there, found many items that qualified for coupons by sizes etc. Here's what I bought, now the other girls I was with also found Colgate Toothpastes in a large enough size to use their coupons, and several others as well. I bought 2 Bic White Outs, had a coupon for $1/2, making those .50 each. Softsoap refills, we had coupons for .50/1, making those .50 each and Post Shredded Wheat cereal was of course $1 each, we had coupons for $1/1 making those free! I had 6 boxes of shredded wheat, 6 Softsoap refills and 2 Bic white outs and spent $4.56. The manager of that store did tell us they are really sticking to the size restrictions or any other restrictions. They will only let you use 2 computer generated mfg coupons, but they allowed us to use more than 2 of the other coupons. So it will probably vary by store, but this particular store had lots of things that we have gotten coupons for in the past.
On to CVS next....I did 3 deals total. 1st Deal, I bought 2 of the Gillette 10ct razors, were $10.79 each, with a bogo coupon from RP 8/5 and then a $3 off coupon from P & G 8/26 and then used my $4/$20 ECB coupon. I had to buy one filler item for $1. I paid $4.79 and got back a $5 ECB...so actually made $$ on that deal. Deal 2 was 2 Venus Disposables were $7.99 each, had a bogo coupon RP 8/5 and a $3/1 mfg coupon from P & G 8/26 and used my ECB from the previous deal for a total of $1.12 and got a small filler item. Deal 3 thank goodness for Dianna finding this one, Gevalia Coffee bags were on sale for $5.99 each, I had printed (2) Gevalia bogo coupons (off the site I believe),bought 4 of those, then I bought 2 of the Dawn Hand Care dish soaps were on sale for .99, had coupons for .75/1 P&G 8/26 making those .24 each! Used my $5 coupon from the previous deal. All in all, I spent $13.37 at CVS for $82.18 in products! 84% savings, I haven't done that well in a while. And I don't have any extra ECB's to worry about, as I turned them back to the next deal.
For the entire shopping day, I spent $17.93 and got 6 boxes of Post Shredded Wheat, 2 Bic White outs, 6 Softsoap Refills, 20 Gillette mens razors, 8 Gillette Simply Venus Razors, 4 bags of Gevalia Coffee, 2 Dawn dish soaps....I love a day like this!
Okay, get out there and check out your neighborhood Dollar Tree to see what deals you can scare up and CVS seems to be doing better lately with their deals. I have not shopped Walgreens yet this week, and I may not, I will let you know if I do.
God Bless and get out there a Be a Savvy Shopper! Rhonda Goff

Thursday 8/23/12
Hi all, I did a little recon today at Dollar Tree on Normandy. They told me their taking coupons will begin this Sunday. I walked the store to see what types of things we might would get coupons for.....I wrote down around 50 name brand things. You might want to check out a store close to you and see what you can see, it's my understanding they don't all carry the same things and things can change because of the way they buy. Anyway, I saw boxes of Shredded Wheat that I had a $1 off coupon that would have been FREE. I'm sure there were more items as well.
Okay, while I was out, I stopped at Publix to pick up a few sale items I noticed in the paper. The Colgate toothpaste...Opti White...was 2/$6, we had a Publix coupon for $1 off 1 and we had a MFG coup for .75 off one SS 8/12, making those only $1.25 each. Bought 9 softsoap liquid hand soaps were 10/$10, only had 9 coups for .35/1 making those .65 each. Lysol wipes were bogo at $4.89 for 2, had coupons for $1/1 making those $1.44 each, Ken's Marinades were bogo at $2.99 for 2, we had coups for $1/1 from SS 8/12 making those .49 each. Bought several aluminum throw away pans, they were bogo. I haul a lot of food around so I use a lot of those. I bought Milkbones had a coupon for $1.50/2 and bought 2 Nestles chocolate chips, had a Target coupon for $1 off 2 and a Publix coupon for .75 off 2, making those $2.27 each. I had enough to use one of my WD $5/$30 coupons. I spent $34.99 for $99.41 in groceries. Not a bad day.....have a great rest of the week and get some deals.

Heads up fellow Savvy Money Savers.....Dollar Tree is going to begin taking our coupons! If you've never been to a Dollar Tree....everything is indeed ONE DOLLAR! They have tons of off brand things, but they also have tons of brand name items that we will have coupons for! Think what we can save on cleaning products, skin care items, some foods....we are very excited about this new couponning opportunity. Our Couponista Group, led by Miss Vicki, will be doing some Reconnaissance in our area to see how this will play out for us. I would recommend your doing the same in your area of town. I will keep you all posted on what we find out and you please do the same. I am including the website for you to see the rules for yourselves....wouldn't hurt to have them with you when you go.

Monday 8/20/12
Had a great shopping day today....did Wags, Winn Dixie and CVS.
At Walgreens I did a total of 5 separate deals. I did a deal, then if there was anyone in line behind me, I explained what I was doing to the cashier (I didn't want her to think I was trying to shoplift), I let the other folks in front of me, then I would do my next deal, on and on for 5 total deals. I got almost every deal I went for and the cashier was very patient. She even commended me for the way I did my coupon shopping. I feel that it is very important not to keep other folks waiting, it seems to make the cashiers nervous which can lead to mistakes being made, not always in our favor. Soo.....Deal 1Bought the Glade Expressions starter kit, was $2.99, had a coupon for $3/1 which I printed off coupons.com. Also received a $1 RR for buying it. So really, it cost me nothing, I made $1 for buying it. Bought 2 Oral B Floss Picks were 2/$6. had (2) coupons for .75/1 from P & G 7/29 and got a $4 RR, so basically those cost me .50. Bought 2 of the Chex snack mix for $3, couldn't find a coupon and got a $1 RR, so those were $1 each. At the end I went into the next deal with $6 in RR. Deal 2...Bought 1 Gillette Mach 3 Razor for $8.99, had a coupon for $3/1 from RP 8/19, got back a $4 RR, so it cost me $1.99. I bought 2 Crest 3 D toothpastes were 2/$6, had (2) .75/1 coupons from P&G 7/29, bought 2 Nice Baking Sodas for $1.18 (store coupon) needed 2 Dentine gums to make my coupon/item count come out right and used my $6 RR and went into deal #3 with $8 in RR. Deal 3 bought another Glade Expressions for $2.99, coupon for $3 off, got back a $1 RR, bought 2 more of the Oral B floss picks for $6, (2) .75/1 coupons and $4 RR, 2 Nice Black Peppers (store coupon) for and 1 Kraft Velveeta Cheese for $2.99. I used my $8 RR from deal 2 and went into deal 4 with $5 RR. Deal 4 I did another Gillette Mach 3 Razor and used my coupon and RR from deal 3 and went into deal 5 with $4 in RR. Deal 5, bought Poise Pads on sale for $10.99 (they are normally around $14), used my $4 RR on those. I ended up with no extra RR to worry about and got $88.38 in goods for $26.39, not too shabby. 69% savings! I am stockpiling again for my Christmas gift bags.
Winn Dixie, I won't go into the details as this is the last day of the sale, except for the special 3 day sale they are running. They had Chuck Roasts again bogo, bought 2 more and boneless skinless chicken breast bogo, bought 2. Nestle Skinny cow candies were 2 boxes for $7, we had coupons for $1/2, I did not find any of the single bars. I got WD sliced Ham in the Deli and for buying that I got 1 pound of free WD Provolone cheese and gas perks galore. I bought 6 Planters Pnut butters for $2.49, had coups for $1/1 and got .5 in fuel perks for each one I bought. I spent $130.06 and saved $83.08 all told. I ended up with 70 cents per gallon off my next fill up..... .70 in fuel Perks which should get me in the under $3 per gallon range.....whoopie!
CVS...I did well there too. Revlon Nail polishes were $4.99 each, I had coupons for $1/1 from SS 7/22 or SS 8/5 and got back $3 ECB (Extra Care bucks) for each one, the limit was 6. So....I spent $23.94, got back $18 in ECB! Did a 2nd deal of 2 Right Guard Deodorants at $2.99 each had coups for $1/1 received $1 ECB for each of the two. Bought CVS brand brush picks for $2.49, bought 2 Loreal Makeup removers at $6.99 each, used my $18 ECB and paid $2.45 over that. All in all, I got $60.39 in goods for $26.39. 56% savings and I am getting ready for Christmas! Oh, and I am going forward with a $2 ECB, I hate when I have those left over, I usually forget about them! Guess I can tape it on my car windshield so I won't forget??? Probably not one of my better ideas, huh?
That's probably about going to do it for me this week. Have a great one and I will say the drug stores are really starting to have some deals worth going out for the past couple weeks. God Bless....Rhonda Goff
