Friday's shop 2/17/12

Wow! I think I did great, there are some really good deals out there this week. Don't forget, if you're gonna do any of the Walmart deals, do them before Sunday. Everything will change on Sunday at Walmart. Also, we are only getting 1 insert this Sunday according to the "all knowing couponers" powers that be!

Walmart was first. Kraft Parm Cheese (the 3oz) were $1.78, we had coups for .55/1 making those $1.23 each, bought 4. SeaPak Shrimp Poppers were 6 0z $1.67, we had coups for .75/1 making those .92, bought 4. Nature Made Fish Oil vits were $5.96, had a $2/1 coup making those $3.96. Brawny Paper Towels, 1 roll was $1.77, we had coups for $1/1, making those .77 per roll. Bought 2 (it was a printable coupon I found on Happymoneysaver.com). Viva Paper towels were $1.97 per roll, had coupons for $1/1 making those .97 per roll, bought 4. Wagon Train Dog jerky treats 3oz ended up at .87 per package after coups. Carpet Fresh was .99, we had $1/1, those were free and I made .08 overage....every little bit helps. Dulcolax 8ct. tabs were $1.98 each, had coups for $3/2, those ended up at .48 each. Nivea Lip care balms were $2.47 each, we had coups for $3/2, those ended up at .97 each, bought 4. Total spent $47.36 for $80.54 in goods, saved $33.18. Not too bad. They were out of a couple of things I went for....The Benefiber 16 ct and the Breathe Right Nasal strips 2ct. I would have made $$ on the strips.

Next stop....Publix. These were both the stores off Brananfield Road. Muellers pasta was bogo, I had no coups but still a good deal at .73 each. Bought 2, I'll probably regret not buying more. Hunts 100% Natural tomatoes were bogo at $1.99 or .99 each. Had a Target coup for $1/3 and mfg.45/3. Ended up at .51 each, these are the large cans. bought 9.
Wish Bone salad dressings were bogo at $2.73, with a Target coup for $1.50/2 and mfg coups for .65/2, ended up at less than .30 each, bought 2. Jennie O Turkey was $2.79 per pound, got 2. Bertolli Frozen meal soups unadvertised special at $4.99 each, normally $7.99 each, we had Target coups for $2/2 and mfg coups for $1 off/1,making those $2.99 each. They are really good if you've not tried them, however....if you or your spouse eat more than 1 bowl of soup, you'll need 2. Green Giant canned veggies were bogo at .84 each...then Publix had a coup for $1/4, those came in at .39 each, bought 16 (some for our church food pantry...no, I'm not hoarding). Progresso Soups were bogo at $1.19 each, Publix coup for $1 off 4, and a mfg coup for $1 off 4, bringing those in at .63 each. Bought 12...some for church too. Arnold Ital Bread was bogo at $1.39 each, from the letters I sent to Arnold bread, they had sent me $1/1, so my 2 breads came in at .39 each! Ha! Smart Balance Spreads with Olive Oil were bogo at $1.79 each, had coups for $1/2 making those $1.29 each, bought 8. Dentastix for my girls were bogo, had coups for $1/2, they were $1.29 each. Progresso various beans were .66 each, Publix had coups for $1/4, bringing those for .41 each, bought 4. Spent $108.42 for $223.25 in goods, saving more than I spent (I love it when that happens) saved $114.83.

I had a pretty good time today! Total OOP was $155.77 for $303.79 in goods, saving a total of $148.01! I call that a successful day's work. Funny thing...first of all, I ran into 4 people from church today in the various stores....I almost never see anyone I know! Cool. A little man was watching me in several aisles and finally said, "Wow, that 's real work isn't it?"...I told him yes, but very well worth the effort. I was also able to give some coupons to an older couple that were buying some of the same dog treats I was buying. I like when I can do that!

That's it for me this week, have a great weekend and God Bless the work of your hands!

P.S. Just finished dinner...in my Publix run, there was an unadvertised sale on Cooked Perfect Italian Meatballs...they were $5.99 and we have a $1/1 coupon, so I paid $4.99. Oh my gosh, they are awesome! I don't usually make meatballs, mine never taste like my daughter's....so I've tried many of the already made ones and most of them are terrible. These are absolutely delicious! I only had 2 coups, so only bought 2 of them, but made red sauce tonight and put them in, wow...and they are gigantic...alomost as big as Bucca D Beppo's meatballs. Use those coups while they're on sale! you won't be sorry.
