This will be quick and painless. I did not shop the drug stores again this week, didn't see much I thought was a "must have". Today, I stopped in Wal-Mart for a couple of things and to burn off the rest of my Olay Bar Soap Coupons! I had 11 more coupons (from the ones I ordered from the coupon clipping service.) At any rate, 2 bar pack of Olay Bath Soap was $2.57 at Walmart, my coupons were for $2 off each package. With the Olay soaps I bought from Target and these from Walmart, I ended up with 36 bars of Olay Soap! The regular price for the 36 bars of soap would have been $46.40, I spent $10.40, making them .29 cents per bar! That clipping service order really paid off!
One more thing I wanted to draw your attention to at Wal-Mart. At my daughter's suggestion, I bought the Wal-Mart Brand toilet tissue. It's the double roll 12 pack for $4.96. She said she found it to be equally as good as Charmin and way cheaper. I bought some and she is right, it' really nice TP. I hardly ever save much on TP, Paper towels or garbage bags. I've already switched to Target's kitchen trash bags, I forget how much they are, but way cheaper than the ones I was buying and they are blue! I like that! Guess I better try out Wal-mart paper towels, who knows? If they ever do release some decent coupons for those items, we can still get them, but for now, I'm doing this.
Did you receive your "Savings are stocking up at Publix" booklet in the mail? It has $57 in savings from Kraft, P & G and Pepsico that are Publix coupons which means we can stack them with the manufacturers coups! Whoo hoo, they are good for the entire month of April!
One more quick thing....Big Lots....has their outside furniture pads on sale this week, most are only $19.95. I was looking for some to replace the ones on our porch swing. I priced them at Home Depot and they were between $32.99-$40 some odd! I could almost replace the entire swing for that much! I bought them at Big Lots and they are just fine, probably not the best quality, but if they last a couple years, I'm happy. The good ones didn't last much longer than that. A word of warning, though. If you go there, take a tape measure and measure your pads before you go. They were not marked real well and they didn't offer a ton of different colors.
Okay that's if for now. Have a great rest of the week. God Bless....Rhonda Goff
