Monday 4/30/12

I didn't see a ton of anything worth going out for.  I did see at Walgreens a 3 transaction deal we can try that will only end up costing us $4.06 out of pocket....oop.  Here is what Southernsavers.com recommends.
Deal 1  Buy 1 Kotex sleek tampon 18 Pack for $3.99,  Use a $1 off 1 MFG coupon , making total due $2.99.  Get back $3 in RR.
Deal 2 Buy 1 Noxema disposable razors, 4pk is $3.99.  Use your $3 RR from the first deal, total due is .99, get back $2 RR.
Deal 3 Buy 2 Starbucks Refreshers for $1.49 each, 1 Rimmel Extra Lash wow mascara, 50% off $3.99 or $1.99?.. 2 Irish Spring Bar soap 3packs, B1G1 at $2.79 and a filler item for .30.  Use your $2 RR from deal 2,  (2) $1.49 off Starbucks in the Pepsico 4/29 Insert, use $1 off Rimmel product...Red Plum 2/12 or 3/11, Use (2) $1 off Irish Spring body wash or bar soaps coupons.  Your total due on this deal should be 8 cents.   I have not tried these yet, but I intend to.

I did not see much of anything at CVS, or Target for that matter.

I am trying out a new way to keep my coupons, evidently it works well for some.  I am really tired of cutting them all out, alphabetizing, putting in the books etc, then throwing them all away when they expire,  it's very time consuming.  I am giving it a try just filing the Red Plum insert week of 4/29/12 or Smart Source week of 4/29/12 etc.  Others are using this system and it's working for them and saving them time.  My only concern is that when I run out of what I consider a staple item, how do I find my coupon?  I've decided that my staple items, I will still cut out and put in my books.  Sometimes, you run out of those BEFORE a sale, so you want to use a coupon for them and not pay full price.  I have also seen on some of the coupon websites where they give you a preview of upcoming coupons for the Sunday paper.  Maybe if we print those out and stash in the front of the folders, it might make things a bit easier to find.  Maybe even store the coupons in the order of the list???  As I progress with this system, I'll try to keep you posted on how it's working out.  It's gonna require us to use the coupon websites even more than we already to.  They always tell you where a coupon comes from, so we can go there to get it.  Find some that you think are up to date for our area and keep a close watch on the.  A few of my favs are Southernsavers.com, addictedtosaving.com, savingthefamilymoney.com (she is a local) and divinedealdivas.com (central Fla).

Okay, that's it for me for today.....have a blessed and savvymoneysaving week!
